mouth 0 #28 March 23, 2003 My usual:11:1 Yes, boys and girls 11 fun fun fun jumps all for $13.50 each and no fee. I would have had more but no packers around and had to leave early today to get my girls. Plus a pretty nice ride to altitude in the new King Air....about 10 minutes max. Made some new friends and saw lots of old one too. God I love Spring in the South. The beer was for my first planned head down jump. I actually held it for a few seconds so it was a BLAST. OMG....did I actually say I enjoyed something other than RW with my outside voice? Lisa -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. suz 0 #32 March 24, 2003 0:4:1 I had planned to complete my AFF course this weekend...lol...I'm still on stage 6! I made four jumps, which I got alot of giggles from! First jump my exist was shit...I didnt arch very well, and ended up on my back! I flipped over really quickly, and my JM only caught up with me @ 6000ft, then I didnt have time to finish the jump. landed on my arse! Second jump I exist ok, but for some reason, I started kicking(!?) and my legstrap slipped in freefall...got all flustered, didnt finish the jump. Landed on my arse! Third jump my JM and I agreed that I just did a solo on my own and get a feel for my legs and arms and nail my exist. It was GREAT! I had a ball...my exist was shit, again (hee hee hee) I ended on my back, flipped over, did a 360, played with my legs and landed half way down the runway....on my arse! BWHAHAHA Fourth jump....I exist with flying colours arched hard, started to turn slightly to the left...and once again....ended up on my back...saw my JM coming towards me, gave him a wave, flipped over and did a 360 turn one way....no JM. I looked up, and he was about 10metres above me,I continued on with the dive anyhow. I moved forward, tried doing another 360 and didnt stop the turn..ended up being something like a 1080, LMFAO!, I waved and pulled @ 3500. My landing was sweet! First time I landed on my feet!!!! I was so wrapped with myself. Pity it had to be the last jump of the day. I had and awesome time. But hey, I can pack now!? that's a good thing, huh? OMG....did I actually say I enjoyed something other than RW with my outside voice? welcome to the dark side Lisa. Here's my numbers: 0:7:0 The winds kicked up this afternoon, so I had to be contempt with only two jumps today. I was also surprised to see Hooknswoop and Skycat at Mile-Hi, but they came too late to jump (while the winds were blowing). JohnJug 0 #38 March 24, 2003 0:3:1 Had a great day of jumping at Perris. Three really fun sit dives. I'm actually starting to get it. The beer is for my first train sitfly exit. Just a two way, and I hosed the jump when we exited the train, but it was a blast anyway. They say nothing lasts forever. If that's true how do you explain herpes? or the Grateful Dead? bbarnhouse 0 #43 March 24, 2003 0:19:0 Yeah a nice weekend here. Made a lot of progress this weekend on the 3rd routine for Nationals..sweet! Landed out the first load this am with Tango but damn I sure didnt take a downwinder like he did. I think he needs glasses or something! Bwhaaa It was fun to watch the expert canopy pilots swooping here this week-end. I admire thier skill, but still doesn't make me want to fly a sub 100 canopySpent 2 hours this evening teaching some of our newer jumpers packing tips and tricks. We had a lot of fun and when they tried to pay me, I told them that they could do so only by taking time with future newbies and teaching them what they had learned. Cheers everyone! AggieDave 6 #47 March 24, 2003 1 (almost dead AggieDave): 10: 0 Fun weekend, except for one jump, I'm about to write it up and post in General Skydiving, go there to read about how I damn near died today. sillyolethang 0 #48 March 24, 2003 0:7:2 - probably more but they let me slide~ I can now post here! Woo hoo! Had an excellent day Saturday with the weather being exquisite and getting in 6 jumps! 2-2-ways 5-way 3-way 4-way And a solo to revel in the entire day! I tell ya what...spending the entire day jumping with some pretty incredibly friendly people makes the weekend SOO worth it! I learned SOOO much and had a blast! I also finally flew my own rig and holy cow! Fliesssss like a dreammmmm! I will always remember that FIRST! When it opened up, I looked up, thought, "she's mine, she's open and she's beautiful!" Landed 10 meters from the peas standing up and was pretty estatic! Course I paid up.. my rigger for getting it ready and the case for the first time! The jumps I did were just so fantastic! Went back for one more today to see that I really can fly it! Had a downwind landing and did an automatic PLF that went perfectly! Thank goodness for the rain, hence soft ground~ Now how did y'all say to clean your rig??? Jumpsuit needs a bit of soap too but it went great! A constant source of amazement this is!Still smiling!
