degeneration 5 #4 July 7, 2012 The main answer you are going to get is "speak to your instructors" about suitable gear to purchase. They know you best, so are more likely to make informed decisions about what they think is suitable for you. But as for the numbers - the ones that come after the name of the parachute, e.g. Pilot 150, Stiletto 135, Velocity 96, Sabre2 170 etc are the size of the parachute in square feet. You might not think you need to go as high as 250, but you absolutely don't need to go as low as 90... No idea about the FU-110 and RU-110 thing. Never seen those myself, unless the FU and RU are names or abbreviations for the name of parachutes and the 110 is the size of the parachute? But that's just guessing.Sky Switches - Affordable stills camera tongue switches and conversion adaptors, supporting various brands of camera (Canon, Sony, Nikon, Panasonic). Born2Late 0 #5 July 7, 2012 I agree w/Degeneration. You should talk w/your instructors. It's not the size of your chute that matters. It's how well you fly it. We're not all born w/300 Navigators. Given enough coach jumps & practice, though. We can all still soar like Eagles. Fly better. Eat more bananas .
