Gawain 0 #1 March 27, 2003 I can't believe I've not been able to figure this out. But my desktop on my NT workstation will not allow me to click/drag/drop. The icons are not "auto-arranged" and I can't find the appropriate tool to correct the issue. Any suggestions (and no, getting rid of the computer, or WinNT is not an option, unfortunately)? So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! skydyvr 0 #13 March 28, 2003 One other thought -- do you have "Active Desktop" installed? If so, maybe a setting in there? I looked through Technet and found nothing exactly like you've described. . . =(_8^(1)
QuickDraw 0 #14 March 28, 2003 Can't you arrange some powerfull magnets on each icon, and pull them to the desired area of the screen ? -- Hope you don't die. -- I'm fucking winning
Gawain 0 #15 March 28, 2003 Thankfully, no active desktop installed. This isn't a typical "click-and-drag" where you see the icon move with your mouse then snap back to where it was. This is click-drag and see your mouse turn into a circle (/) with slash. Very much like what an active desktop might behave, but the setting isn't there... phooey...So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Rdutch 0 #17 March 28, 2003 QuoteYes, I am on a network. Im not so sure about NT, but with 2k your administrator can limit your ability to change your desktop setting's. Especially if your system is active directory implemented. A lot of companies do that so the screen will display a company logo ect. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
