rhino 0 #1 March 28, 2003 Iraqi's have been seen in FULL MOP4 gear unloading 50 gallon drums at fighting locations. This has been seen not only in Baghdad but by the Marines. Rhino

rhino 0 #5 March 28, 2003 I have a silly question? When Sadham uses chemical weapons in Baghdad how many civilians in that city will be left alive? This is horrible Watch how quickly the French Foreign Ministry backpeddles... Rhino
jerry81 10 #6 March 28, 2003 Not wanting to get into any arguments here, but maybe you/we should wait for some other, slightly less propaganda-oriented sources than FoxNews to report this. Yeah, and if I recall correctly, France promised to help in the event of a biochemical war. Does that mean Americans will suddenly have to change their minds about the French? Not that it would be a novel experience or anything...
rhino 0 #7 March 28, 2003 No.. I think it means it is too late for the French... FoxNEws is pretty legit, considering the info came directly from an interview with the Marines.

miked10270 0 #14 March 28, 2003 As fas as "How many civilians will that leave alive?" - does anyone really thing that the Iraqi leadership cares? We already have coverage of Ba'ath party militia firing on civilian refugees! Remember that the Ba'ath party membership is no longer fighting for power, it's fighting for existence and if they are toppled I suspect that there are several scores to be settled against the individual members of this regime. At present the Iraqi leadeship is fighting for time. It's getting warmer out there by the day and while chemical weapons deteriorate faster in high temperatures we're likely to see casualties from simply using the NBC suits in high temperatures! On a lighter note, it should be obvious that the french are the best people to advise on dealing with chemical & biological attacks "foutez le camp", "courez comme la baise", "retraite comme les Allemands viennent" is in fact a reasonable military strategy in this situation. PhillyKev 0 #16 March 28, 2003 QuoteFoxNEws is pretty legit Fair, balanced, and 100% behind the war. I wouldn't exactly call them legit. The Bill O'Reilly "no spin zone" is ridiculous. That guy spins like a trippin' hippy chick at a dead show.
AggieDave 6 #17 March 28, 2003 Atleast he spins a direction I can agree with. CNN spins so fast the otherway, that if they collided I'm sure all of TV would implode.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
PhillyKev 0 #18 March 28, 2003 No argument here. You all saw me argue against going to war in Iraq, now that we're there, though, we should do everything to win as quickly as possible and get our troops home. I'm 100% behind the effort. But the propaganda is really ridiculous. Britain Less Certain About Iraq Execution Claim QuoteThe family of one of the soldiers, 24-year-old Luke Allsopp, reacted furiously to Blair's claim, telling the Daily Mirror newspaper that a senior army officer had told them he had died in action.... Blair's spokesman said the execution charge was based on the fact that the two soldiers were lying some distance from their vehicle and had been stripped of their helmets and body armor. I guess that couldn't have happened after they were already killed?
kiltboy 0 #19 March 28, 2003 I've heard more than a few Brits were pissed at Tony saying that. They'd rather the families believed they died as soldiers in combat. They could've been stripped afterwards. I honestly think the press need to show some responsibility in what they say. The embeded guys are doing a good job but the muppets in the studio really need to confirm stuff before they let it out. Remember the 1000 vehicle convoy that never existed or the 150 vehicle one from Basrah that headed towrds the UK guys? 14 vehicles were taken out from that one. I think it's a trend because the information comes in so quickly and the rush to be first tends to overcome any hint of responsibility. As aother example remember how the stations called the presidential election when the polls closed on the east coast but there was still active voting going on in the rest of the country? rgoper 0 #20 March 28, 2003 Rob: you are certainly in possession of more sheer will and tenacity than any other individual i've ever met. i understand your passion for this ongoing action by the forces which have chosen to be part of it, but remember about "beating the war drum?" the iraqi's have shown for many, many years their brutality towards mankind, no matter the race, color or creed. it is "no big news" that any atrocious deeds that may have/may not have happened or have been reported is simply not a repeat of percieved satanical behaviour by the western civilization, nothing these people do has any "shock value" like they think it does, becuase we already know they're capabilities and charachter traits. it is their intention to shock and horrify us to the point of thinking this will be the fate of any and all who enter uninvited, let's not allow them to achieve their objective. take care, good to see you back.--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"

rgoper 0 #25 March 28, 2003 QuoteBad press move.. the press that is there is monitored by the military and everything they say is at least an 8 second delay. the press has no place in this war, they only provide a sympathetic platform for iraqi viewpoints (which are skewed) and sympathy for the innocent civilians slaughtered by "our" troops, and missiles. bastads.--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"
