ChileRelleno 0 #2 March 27, 2003 I went to Emerald Coast "once" when I first moved out here from California and have never gone back... I had a overall unpleasant visit, bad attitudes ect... The next weekend I went to Goldcoast and as I was walking up somebody greeted me,inquired of my experience and then asked me onto a load, "I was HOME!" Goldcoast is by far one of the friendliest DZ's I have ever found and I've been to 55 different DZ's, so come on over to Goldcoast. Goldcoast granted is alot farther (aprox 75mls) but worth the trip. Danka .:skip Definately go to gold coast, if you have a C you can do beach jumps.. did my first beach jump (a birdman beach jump nontheless) at the mardi gras boogie was quite awesome! Lindsey 0 #4 March 27, 2003 On my one visit to Emerald Coast last year, I had a really good time. Got to do some good RW with some REALLY friendly folks who let me crash their dives even though they didn't know whothehell I was. The landing area is HUGE and flat. I like that, personally. I REALLY want to go back there and stay longer, because my first impression is that it's an AWESOME dz! Met Clay and Wingnut and n2skdvn (or however Kreg is spelling it).....and that IS where Clay and Sheepy first met.....are they still together, or is Sheepy still sluttin' around with Clay's friends...? ==B-D Lindsey-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. I got my first ever beach jump onto the beach at Pensacola (where some drunk spring breakers hit on me) and some really fun other skydives. They took me out to the Pensacola bars after we landed and we had a great time. I'm so sorry that you had such a bad time at Emerald Coast. How long ago was that? The dz as gone through some staff changes and from my experience is a rather friendly place. cheneyneel 0 #9 March 30, 2003 Emerald Coast has gone through a number of staff changes in te past year or two.. I normally jump at Gold Coast becasue it is closer but when there are Beach Googies there it is Da' Bomb.. I am serious!! Also you can jump the beach there any time you want when the DZ is running.. Man if you have a condo there you can even spot to your condo and land at you back door, grab a beer and your home.. There is nothing like beach jumping...nothing!!
