TB99 0 #26 March 30, 2003 Andy, yea, but that's how the news coverage in the US has always been ... sadly enough. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
rhino 0 #27 March 30, 2003 I don't think our coverage is that bad at all considering reporters are with the actual units on the front.
rhino 0 #28 March 30, 2003 Iraq says 4,000 Arabs arrive to stage suicide attacks, raises spectre of terror attacks around world Those busses were spotted leaving Jordan. What do you want to bet they never arrive at Baghdad.
AndyMan 7 #29 March 30, 2003 Quote I don't think our coverage is that bad at all considering reporters are with the actual units on the front. American news coverage tends to be very one sided, tends to lack critical thought, and largely repeats what it's been told in news conferences. American news is pretty good at reporting events and factual data, but sucks in terms of insight, analysis, and context. All of the sources I posted above also have reporters on the front lines, traveling along with the troups. There was actually a pretty funny story from the CBC a few days ago, a bunch of Iraqi's tried to surrender one of their reporters. The reporter put the iraqi in the back of their truck, and delivered them to an English base. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I still see a leftward slant on CNN and others. You don't? Quote There was actually a pretty funny story from the CBC a few days ago, a bunch of Iraqi's tried to surrender one of their reporters. Tf15 0 #31 March 30, 2003 QuoteQuoteQuoteReally, Rhino, no one makes torture batteries. lol I guess the bloody uniforms and all was just to mislead us.. Hey Rhino, I think what Bill was suggesting is that it's just a battery and that it had to come from somwhere. The French (or whoever sold them the battery) could have had no idea that it would eventually end up being used for torture. Would you blame Sears if the battery were labeled DieHard? - Jim "DieHard" would be an most appropriate name. Three times is enemy action
