For still maybe do a shot from the front of the formation looking down the line again with everyone Saluting.....would have to do that on a really bright day to get the light needed for the needed depth of field to get everyone in focus......hmmmmmmmm maybe a shot from below with the sun directly above but the formation is now a Star with light wispy clouds in the background.
