What's your favorite beer and/or wine?

Favorite wine at the moment is:

Chardena (sp?)

I'd like to also add my favorite Whiskey's and favorite Gins, as well as my favorite Tequilas...

Whiskey:

Jack Daniels (black or green, depends on $$ at the time)
Maker's Mark

Gin:

Bombay Saphire

Tequila:

Jose
3 generations Jose (top shelf aka $$)
Wabo Labo (top shelf aka $$)


I have quite a few different drinks I make with those in it, my favorite being Dr. Pepper and Jack Daniels. Sometimes the simple drinks are the best.

Tequila:

Try Milagro Anejo, 2 jump tix per bottle and damn well worth it.

(and BTW, Texas has no REAL beer)

If you're new to drinking, try the Brownie Bomber (I always recommend this).

Fill a pint glass with:
1 shot of blackcurrant cordial
1 shot of Malibu
1 shot of Taboo
1/2 pint of lager
1/2 pint of cider

Okay, so it's not quite up to the full half pint of lager and cider, but you get the idea. Just drink it at the same rate you would normally drink beer, and once you're over the weird first sip it goes down quite nicely. It comes up quite nicely too, and your vom will be the same shade as the drink (purple). If anyone does try it please let us all know how it turned out - I fancy a good laugh.

BTW - I'm not an alcoholic, since I refuse to admit i have a problem

The best stuff ever is that sweet and sour mix. My recipe for a good mixed drink:
2 oz of whiskey
1 oz sweet and sour
Some club soda (That part is never exact)

Any alcohol will work, though. I just like whiskey sours!

I lived in Corpus Christi and Houston (yea I know Houston isn't really Texas) I agree that Shiner is the best beer in Tx. Here's a few local products http://www.rogue.com/brews.html

Oregon might be wet most of the year but we do know Beer!

On the second point (the Yankee thing) I grew up in North Carolina, definately NOT a yankee, and the folks out here couldn't even find New York/Jersey/England on a map.
