NSL Anti war

Recommended Posts

Well, I am anti-war.....

I was in the Army....I didn't like the idea of war...Now I'm out...I still don't like the idea of war.

However its needed. Kurt put something on his site...And I had to respond to him and it. His is at www.skyleague.com in the news section....

My reply was sent in Email to him and follows:

I don't care about them throwing a hissy fit....All they are hurting is
themselves.

I don't think war is needed most of the time....and having served in the
Army I have a larger respect than most who have not been willing to
stand a wall with a gun.

Saddam is an evil man....With ties to International terrorism.
His people have been murdered and oppresed for so long....Now I believe
it is not the place of the United States, or any country to police the
world...I feel that a goverment should be free to run itself...and treat
its people anyway they want...This includes Saddams right to murder his
own people, tourture children to get information for the parents, and
yes even build weapons of mass destruction. If the people of Iraq wish
to be rid of him, let them overthrow him...

Now...While I do believe in a nations sovern rights......When they start
to threaten the peace of several other nations, they should be delt
with. The United Nations FAILED at this....They passed a resolution.
And when it was ignored...The asked for more time...And when it was
given...They still did nothing when he was found not following the
rules. Someone HAS to step in....Terrorism effects the world. Think
about all of the truely inocent people that have died due to terror
attacks, men, women and children....The 3,000 at the WTC on 9-11-01 was
just the largest to date. Thousands of people have died, and there is
only one way to deal with this kind of violence. I regret that this
action had to be taken. But I feel as does a large portion of the
people in the world feel it needed to be done. I also regret that the
UN has shown that it has no power, and is afraid to follow the rules it
laid out.

Yes inocent people will die. I am sorry for that. But this action will
allow more inocent people to live.

I also feel that this web site is a poor place for such disscusion of
politics...I personally don't care the Swiss are not comming to
America. If they are the Swiss team, maybe they should train there, and
not rely on the United States and its freedom that was bought with blood
for their training needs.

So the Swiss 4-way team stopped training for a week to protest the war and the NSL reported it on their web site. I don't see how this makes the NSL anti war, unless you consider every media outlet on the planet to be anti war for giving coverage to war protesters.

They used to have a link to an anti-war site, but it has been removed.

Is this the same Swiss team that got to train out of the United States Army Golden Knight Otter last winter that the american public cannot jump out of? Ummmm...

A. you don't know Kurt....
B. You think that it is really news worthy?

Kurt is a good man, but he is a MAJOR peace activist. Nothing wrong with that, but would this story be news?

It is his website, and he can put whatever he wants on it.
But it is an example of how the media will report the "news" with a spin on it to make the news. And to support whatever they feel is right.

Who was on it? Most of the time it can be used, but only by military ID holders...I have several hundred jumps out of GK aircraft.

We were told NO! The american public cannot jump this airplane. Instead they would send it up with a 4-way and camera.

I'm so glad I get to pay taxes to let the Swiss jump MY (meaning american tax payer) airplane.

Kurt is a good man, but he is a MAJOR peace activist. But?? Sorry, but I don't get it. Saddam was an evil bastard when he gassed the Kurds in 1988, but it took his invasion of Kuwait before the West did anything to him. Now in a knee-jerk reaction to 911 (along with a couple of other factors) Iraq is being invaded.

If Iraq had never invaded Kuwait and Al-Quaeda hadn't committed the atrocities of 911 would this war be happening? No, because the west would just turn a blind eye to what Saddam was doing to his own people and just continue buying crude. Pretty ironic that in the eighties it was the west selling him his weapons of mass destruction - as long as he was using them to fight Iran nobody really seemed to give a shit.

Read what I wrote...I don't think it is any of my buissness what you do in your house...when your shit starts comming out of your yard into mine, or anyone elses it becomes our problem.

So thats why I think we need to do something about Saddam....Hey if his own people will put up being killed...fine...If they don't like it..then revolt.

But he ignores the UN resolutions, and does not play well with the rest of the world...So thats why I am glad we are doing something.

Like I said I like Kurt, BUT he is a major peace activist...What part of that don't you get? I like peace like the next guy, but I am not going to let you walk on me to ensure it....

But you are happy to walk over me first to ensure your peace because you think I might have done something to you a little while ago? Of course you can't wait to get conclusive proof so you just go right ahead and walk over me. Don't be surprized if you get labelled the playground bully by all the other kids.;)

PS I too have worn a uniform and seen active duty. I don't think we're going to find any common ground here, so perhaps we should just accept that our opinions differ and leave it at that.

Not at all! You'll get walked over because you _might_ do something to him in the future.

My mistake; it was the Air Force otter, not the GK otter.

>I'm so glad I get to pay taxes to let the Swiss jump MY (meaning

I am glad some of my taxes goes toward supporting skydiving - even if one of the teams that gets the benefit isn't a US team. Now, the two billion a year in oil company subsidies does annoy me.

Ya know...How about the fact that he supports terroism?

He pays 25,000 to the families of suicide bombers.
He paid 35,000 to the family of the bomber that killed the 4 US service members.

How much would he pay to put a Nuke on US soil?

I can't see waiting to see if he does it....He would if he could.

His troops are fighting with terror tactics...hiding behind civilians, and faking a surender just to gun down the troops that come to get them.

I don't like the fact we are at war, but we were anyway. At least we are open about it.

And we give medals to soldiers who kill Iraqis. This is war, after all. Killing soldiers is sorta the point.

>How much would he pay to put a Nuke on US soil?

From what they've been saying, the North Koreans will do it for free!

I don't mind paying for the skydiving, its a great way to recruit for the Army. I mind the swiss jumping it with the way they feel about it. IMO its kind of hypocritical of them.

I know several skydivers who are anti-french who are proud of their FAI records. I think it's important to be able to make the distinction between anti-Bush or anti-Chirac vs. anti-american-people or anti-french-people.
