Phonebooth is FINALLY coming out.. what do you guys think?

Recommended Posts

Well the movie Phonebooth is opening on Friday.. after waiting TWO YEARS to release it.. it was originally supposed to be released in november of 2001, but because it was shot in NYC they thought it was unappropriate.. so they moved it to november of 2002 which was around the time of the great sniper shootings in my back yard.. so since the movie is about a sniper, they deemed it inappropriate.. so FINALLY it is being released this friday. They interviewed the director.. and get this, the entire movie took 12 days of shooting.. that's it! 10 days in NYC and 2 days in other places.. that's nuts.. 12 days of shooting took 2 years to release :(

I think it looks good, however I don't like movies that don't change the scenery much.. sitting in a phone booth for 2 hours just seems a little.. boring to me.

All the bad joss should have told them something. Also, the trailers make it look hokey and preposterous. I'll be staying away in droves.

HEY! Just because a picture is being hyped, that doesn't mean you have to pay good money to go see it.

Screw Hollywood, anyway.

Hmmm....it said, "a ringing phone HAS to be answered, doesn't it?" I've had pay phones ring near me before, I've never answered it. I guess I've always figured the call wasn't for me, so why bother.

Very accurate, a PHONE BOOTH in Manhattan YEAH RIGHT!!!, they don't exist anymore, and BELL ATLANTIC? gezzz.

It will make a good 99 cents rental in a week or two. :P

I dont plan on seeing it.

A) I am absolutely sick and tired of being force fed the trailer for close to a year
B) It looked pretentious and pretty unrealistic anyway
C) Watching a phone booth for 90 minutes.

No thanks.

Just my opinion but I saw it last week and it is definitely not worth paying for.

Save your money!!!

By the way what do you pay for movies where you are at anyway. Here in winnipeg we are the cheapest city in the country for movies at $8 the rest of the country is 11-13.

Absolutely! It's called post-production:P Think about it - student static line jump and it takes about 20 - 30 minutes to give them a tape to take home; 60 sec freefall, and you've spent at least 10 minutes dirt diving, and if you got video, that's another 20-30 minutes for a documentatory style video:S
