You have apparently been posting since the end of October, 2002. You have 427 posts. Have you made
427 jumps in the last 5 months?

But then again what do I know....I dont have a cool nickname?

It is very clear that some people spend way to much time on the net, and not enough at the DZ.

But it is a free world post away!!! I just found it funny that you can be in the sport. 2 mths, with 463 posts here. (7.1 per day) and 22 jumps....

Of course you with <200 jumps and 3463 posts would not find that funny.

I do. with >2,600 jumps and 428 posts....since March 2001 (I have been lurking not posting...something more people should do) for a 0.6 per day...

So I do find it funny that you have 17 times the number of posts than jumps.

I just find that funny...You don't have to...

But it is a free forum, and as long as I don't insult you...Which I have not. I just pointed out that you spend to much time posting and not jumping....I have proof to back that up.

See???

Ron

Right now, as much as I'd love to be jogging along LSD, going for a ride on a motorcycle, jumping out of a plane, walking dogs for the Humane Society, reading a good book at the beach, I have a steady job that puts me behind a computer 8 hours a day.

Sure, I'm online a ton, and I am no stranger to post whoring about absolutely nothing (but, I still think the Bud Light vs Miller Light poll had some value :D). I don't find my having great benefits, a profit sharing program that will almost assuredly put in $1.50 for every $1 I put in, a decent income, and working in an awesome city (especially in the summer) funny by any means.

Dz.com was made for those of us who wish they didn't have (yes, I have to work at a steady job in the insurance industry) to work for a living and could go out and be as adventurous as they please. But for me, that's what my weekends are for.

Hey Chris...

Whos arguing???

I just pointed out the differance between some peoples posts to jump#'s....

Just like I would point out at a bonfire a guy that talks all the time, but not about skydiving...then when a skydiving topic comes up wants the same level or even more respect than the guys who have done more....Yes everyone has the right to say what they want , and to have an opinion....But they should understand that they will not have the same level of respect as say Jerry Bird.

When people with more exp. than me talk...trust me I listen.
And I don't argue with them.

Chris I am a pilot....but if you start talking flying...I shut up and listen. Some don't

I have no patience with people who are mean for meanness's sake.

You will not convince anyone here that you are better than he or she because you have 2600 jumps and 0.6 posts per day since registering (but almost 3 per day since your first post). There are few numbers in this world with less correllation.

But good for you for trying. We all need goals.
Skydiving is for cool people only

Keep in mind that, just because a person may have a ton of jumps doesnt make them right or that anyone should take what they say as gospel. I listen to everyone, low jump numbers to tens of thousands of jumps...then formulate my own opinion. A fresh outlook on something can be very informative if you can manage to open yourself up to listening. There are some really smart jumpers that havent been in the sport for too long and there are some real dumbasses out there that have been around forever. The minute you think that you have learned everything in the sport is when you get bit in the ass.

What the hell are you talking about? The only point you've made on this thread is that i have more posts than jumps and that some how there is something wrong with that?

I've wanted to skydive my entire life, but haven't had the money until recently. Now that i have, i'm hooked. I love it.

When i started i had no idea how to get started, where to go, what to do etc. DZ.com became a valuable source of information about the sport, the lifestyle, and also to make new friends.

When people talk, i listen. I was skydiving with some very experienced jumpers who gave me a lot of help and support. I was even lucky enough to jump with a very experienced skydiver, Adrian Nicholas, while still doing AFF. how many students can say that? :D:D I was very lucky, not only with my training, but the people i met. Skydiving has changed my life forever. It has put things in my life into perspective.

Just because i have more posts on this forum than i do jump numbers. Who cares? there are things way more important in the world to worry about. More to the point why is it of any concern whatsoever to you?

The read what I wrote....and do 100 posts about it...

Dont like what I write...don't read it!

Funny only those with a 17 to 1 post to jump ratio seem pissed at me!

UH OH.....I'm in trouble. I also post on a Parenting forum. I believe that I have over 100 posts there and yet I only have three children. Guess I need to spend more time having babies and less time posting about cookie recipes.

OMG, that is the funniest thing i've heard in a long time. Thanks for the laugh. Now quit posting and go jump or have babies or whatever it is you do.:P

funny, you're still posting. 2 posts as well. hmmm.. funny >:(

this started off as a post about my experiences as a first time sky diver. The sport and the people are great, you however, are just proving there are wankers in everything we do.

Please dont post again, i dont want this topic locked.

Did you tell Katerina I said 'Hi'? She has to be one of the nicest people I've ever met in skydiving. I'll be seeing them again in July, I presume Adrian told you about the festival in Sweden this summer? :)
