SkyDolphin 0 #1 April 4, 2003 Remember a couple weeks ago when the movie "Wag the Dog" came up? Well, this morning I'm sitting in my living room watching the news and they are talking about a speech given by the Iraqi Minister of Information (Minister of mis-Information). In his speech he mentioned the movie, telling the Iraqi people that we are using the same tactics described in the movie and that we are waging a "fake war and we are not in fact in control of the airport or anywhere near Baghdad. What a funny coincidence. Can you say "Dilusional"?
sinker 0 #2 April 4, 2003 I can say it, but I'd say it "delusional" -the artist formerly known as sinker
lummy 4 #3 April 4, 2003 You know what's kinda strange about it tho? It seems almost as if the reports were made before we actually captured the Airport. I do recall hearing that we had captured the Airport yesterday afternoon In the paper this AM, one of the articles was written by a Chronicle reporter who is in Baghdad. In his article, he wrote QuoteIn mid-afternoon, the Information Ministry took some foreign journalists to the airport, about 12 miles outside the city to the southwest, to prove the government's contention that it still controlled that piece of real estate. Sure enough, reporters found a deserted airport with a few nervous Iraqi soldiers and no Americans in sight. but the next paragraph states. QuoteBut soon after the Baghdad-based reporters left, the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Division rolled into the airport, a stunning indictment of the Iraqis' impaired intelligence-gathering capabilities. source can be found here Who knows....I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..
