AggieDave 6 #1 April 5, 2003 Who has the scoop on this? Who has links to actual news about it, instead of hear say? If it's true, it SUCKS!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
VectorBoy 0 #2 April 5, 2003 It can't be, they make most of the really good stuff. Well, unless glock is buying them out. Glen

fasterfaller 0 #4 April 5, 2003 Special weapons is eating away at their market share and they are a U.S. based company . It seems like every time I place a order with H&K that they don't want the business any more . I have heard rumours of a sellout for the last year or so . The product is good but the people suck . I have been stocking more and more special weapons products lately . The quality is just as good as H&K . I bought a new MP5 from special weapons and can't tell a differance between the two . VectorBoy 0 #5 April 5, 2003 Who or what is special weapons? H&K is a german based company , No? So confusing. Glen
ECVZZ 0 #6 April 5, 2003 If I'm gonna buy an MP-5, you can bet it's gonna be an H&K and not a knockoff. G. Jones "I've never been quarantined. But the more I look around, the more I think it might not be a bad idea."
BBKid 0 #7 April 5, 2003 Quote Who or what is special weapons? H&K is a german based company , No? So confusing. Glen It's German based, but owned by British Aerospace, of all people, unless I'm gravely mistaken (Andy McNab says so, so it could be made up). PhillyKev 0 #8 April 5, 2003 Hmmm...just got back from H&K demo day at the range. Sales rep there with their full line and introduced 3 new models being released next month.
fasterfaller 0 #9 April 6, 2003 I have put 30,000 rounds through my special weapons MP5 without a failure or jam . It has not been cleaned either . It is really dirty and still no problems . Another big plus is I don't have to wait for them to be imported either . I just buy them , start the transfer and by the time the paperwork is back (25-45 days) the guns are ready for pickup . And by the way , why waste 3-4k on a H&K that you are going to chop the barrel on when you can buy one for less than $1500 and it cames with the 8.9" barrel installed . These guns are JUST AS GOOD as the originals . I own both guns ther is no differance quality wise . Special weapons builds these guns on the same tooling as H&K . VectorBoy 0 #10 April 6, 2003 Hey fast when you say you can buy an mp5 do you mean the sp89 version? or do you have the licence for the mps full rock~n~roll potential? Glen
fasterfaller 0 #11 April 6, 2003 I hold a class II license which means I can buy sell and build machine guns and silencers . I can ONLY sell new machine guns to law enforcement and other dealers with a letter of demonstration .
