Deuce 1 #1 April 4, 2003 I'm determined that my kids know a little about politics and geography. So when Katiebear got deployed it was a chance to talk about how far away Kuwait is, why it's a different time there, different cultures and religions and stuff. But, you know, a trailer park is a trailer park is a trailer park. Katie's neighborhood: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/facility/camp-doha-pics.htm I'll share this with my girls tonight, thought some of you might be interested. It must say "there are NO nightclubs in Kuwait" about a zillion times on the bases websight. Thanks again to all our servicemembers abroad!

Tell me about it... there's one pic there that shows a lot of what looks like wreckage (first pic, fourth from bottom row). Is that the result of a missile the Saddam supposedly doesn't have?So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! RevJim 0 #10 April 5, 2003 Quotewoo HOO.... lot's of cool things on that sait Deuce... Yes, that site is freaking awsome! I went digging in my memory banks and thoughts of what my father did during Vietnam. Yep, I found his base:Spangdahlem Air Base QuoteLater that same month, the 49th Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW) moved to Spangdahlem AB from Etain-Rouvres AB, France, and assumed host unit duties. The 49 TFW flew F-100 Super Sabre fighter-bombers until 1961 when it converted to F-105 Thunderchief aircraft. My father was photo recon, and he's got some pictures that would blow your mind! What they fail to mention was his job. He loaded film on SR-71s at this base, briefed the pilots on their missions (either over the U.S.S.R., Red China, or Nam), then waited for the film to come back. He told me that he saw a few of the same birds over and over, but never briefed the same pilot twice. Damn, makes me feel like heading over to his house this weekend and brush up on my Communist missle silo finding skills. Thanks for the site, Duece! It's your life, live it! happythoughts 0 #13 April 7, 2003 A while back, an Iowa native was out of town on vacation. The friends of this person went to their house just before daylight and took pics of themselves standing buck-naked in front of their house. Then, once they returned from vacation, the pics were mailed to the person with the note that it may be necessary to explain things to their neighbors. I am not encouraging anyone to send pics of this type to Katiebear in Kuwait. Naked pics of themselves in front of her house would be funny, but it would be wrong.
