PhillyKev 0 #1 April 9, 2003 Game 1 in 30 minutes. I think the fact that winter has actually hung on to Philly for the playoffs is a good sign.
CanuckInUSA 0 #2 April 9, 2003 Didn't you mean to say, let's go Avs? But the Avalanche don't play until tomorrow night dude (and I'll be there at the Pepsi Can). I hate the Flyers. But not as much as I hate the Wings. Then again I'm not exactly a Leafs fan either. So I'm torn (then again do I really care) who wins the Leafs/Flyers series. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
freakous 0 #3 April 9, 2003 Truely, I don't like the Flyers or Leafs. Hopefully, they will beat the crap out of each other in 7 games with the victor losing the next series. Not fond of the Avs, but only because of their talent and really dislike the Wings. LETS GO CAPS! CUP CRAZY!
jceman 1 #4 April 10, 2003 Sorry, fellas, Lord Stanley's Cup will stay right where it belongs. In Hockeytown. Go Wings! Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

miller 0 #8 April 10, 2003 what a night of upsets last night. Dallas falls to Edmonton at home Philly falls to Toronto at home Ottawa loses at home Should make for some awesome series. As a diehard wings fan (I actually work in the shadow of Joe Louis) there is NOTHING like living in Detroit during the playoffs. Best time of the whole year. Last year and this year will be the seasons that I'll tell my grandkids about. Yzerman, Federov, Hull, Robitaille, Shanahan, Chelios, Cujo, Hasek and the list goes on. It's funny though, the Wings' salary and the Detroit Tigers' salary were damn near the same last year (about 65 million). The Wings won the cup, the Tigers came in last by a whole bunch. The discrepancy between hockey and baseball salaries makes me sick. BTW - Tigers are currently 0-7 (baseball sucks, I just stated this for informational purposes) Regarless of rivalries, let's all revel in the fact that our common thread (other than jumping) is that hockey is religion, there's nothing better. mike
PhillyKev 0 #9 April 10, 2003 Oh well....I guess the freakin' flyers aren't going to win when they only play 1 period. 1st period they looked nervous and jittery as hell. Cechmanek was juggling the puck on ever stop (when he was lucky enough to touch it). Then the 2nd period they completely dominated. They were 2-1 over the Leafs in hits, shots, and chances. In fact the Leafs didn't have a single shot the entire period. Then 3rd period, it looked like they all needed to lay down for nappy time. That's ok though, nothing motivates a Philly team like a loss. A couple of days of knowing that half a million south philly wops wanna smack them upside the back of the head gets them charged up to win the next game.
