I hate being stubborn.

Recommended Posts

I put my resignation in @ work on Monday,
because my boss cannot control his temper.

I dont care if I am a low income status...No body gets treated like trash in the workplace. I'm not the only person to get this treatment from him, other people have resigned because of him. But because they are younger and only entry level workers, they've been too scared to report a complaint against him.
I'm taking him to Industrial Relations, to speak for all those employee's who've be bullied.
The only thing is...I've quit without getting another job, which I am mad at myself for. I hate being stubborn.
Needed to let some steam off. I need cheering up.:(

Good for you! You should speak up for yourself and everyone who is being mistreated!

When times get tough my mom always tells me that everything happens for a reason. I usually want to punch her, but in the end she is usually right.

Good luck!

Whats the worst that could happen?

You're quitting anyway, and this guy has a spotless record.

Hey Suz,

You can tell it's time to quit when you think things can't get any worse! This necessarily means they have to get better. I was in your position a few years ago, had a truly horrible boss, and after I left in protest (with no new job to speak of) he eventually got what he deserved when others came forward and I spoke my mind. If nothing else, know that karma is on your side here.

You deserve to be treated with respect. You're not just stubborn, you're brave. Go for it!

don't hate it, USE it--You've just opened yourself a fine door, stubborn yourself a job you WANT to do... sounds like you have a fine sense of the unjust, how's yer education? Ever think of becoming a lawyer, or someone who looks after others' rights-- a public defender-- don't recommend welfare worker, tho- or hell, just get into research like I do- I'm not even trapped in an office-I am a land title investigator and do research in different courthouses; get to travel around and see the beauty of the state, work for myself, cn' take time off as I need....and books NEVER yell at you....B| Know what you did is right for you, and have faith that you'll find the right job for you now, as well... you did good, suz-

I understand about the fear for not having a new job already, but you're doing the right thing. It's a pity there wasn't anyone where you were working that you could report him to. But you've done exactly the right thing, and you'll be able to sleep each and every night this way!

There is the operations manager...but he thinks the sun shines out of my boss's arse.:|

I did approach him and mention the situation that my boss has made. He realises my boss's bad tactics, yet, the store where I work, is the only one out of the five he 'babysits', that is beating budget.

He did say that it distresses him that he received this complaint from the best performing store manager....however, "He didnt see a point in me going to Industrial Relations." So I thought to myself...screw you hippy, I'm going anyway.

My education is terrible. I'd like to think that I have a good knowledge of the justice system, but sadly, I think it just comes down to my morals. I'd love to be a lawyer, it pays well. But I dont think I'd like law school....all that reading, yuck! Not for me. ;)

I am a fair person who gives alot and expects nothing in return. But when somebody tweaks my melon, I make sure it's known. I choose my words carefully, because there just might be one day where I have to swallow them, ya know?[:/]

Wish that I would always choose my words carefully, because I seem to 'swallow' them quite often. ;)

Way to go...that guy seems kinda like a lady above me here at work. Each time I see her, I have no idea what kind of mood she is going to be in. She is usually the biggest bitch in the world and everyone here knows it. Even the UPS lady mentioned it once....haha

Good luck finding your new nitch in life....itll come.

Bosses like him end up being capped by somebody who's as whacko as they are. There's only so much a human being can take.

Best to vote with your feet. Your choices are easy if you're just a wage-slave. Were you in a real career, you'd have harder choices to make (if this sounds like the voice of experience speaking, it is ;))

<<>> It will get better. You shouldn't have to work in a place where you're treated bad. Something will come up that you will be happier at. Good luck and best wishes.

Nasty suggestionB|
Wait a little while - or get a friend to do this. Ring that operations manager and tell him that this guy has given his name as a referee a dn would it be convient now for him to take 10 min to talk about his performance as your client is waiting on a reference before issuing the job offer
I used to work in recruitment and ive never actually done this to anyone - but thinking about it made me feel better when people were treating me like that! And i cant help thinking the Ops mgr might be a bit annoyed that blue eyed boy is looking for another job :)
Note - before you do this if you do this, think about what the consequences could be ie this guy possibly losing his job, and ask if you can live with that...

I have found that taking pictures of ones boobies, and the subsequent posting of said pictures does wonders in the cheering up department.
