ManBird 0 #1 April 10, 2003 'll be at Skydive DeLand from very late on the 15th to very early on the 22nd. Any recommendations on accomodations that are free or next-to-free? Wanna let me crash? I don't mind camping, but I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone to find out of the camping area is open to campers right now. Has it been dry enough for me to forego a tent? I'm all about the roughness. PM me."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 April 10, 2003 Skydive Deland has a nice camping area and a nice RV area, but I stayed with buddies last time I was there. A smart birdie would make friends with the people at the BirdHouse (on Lexington ave.). Doooood, there are some great people in DeLand.
skymama 37 #3 April 11, 2003 The camping area is open, but I wouldn't recommend sleeping under the stars because the mosquitos are already starting to come out. There are people camping in tents though. There's also a small bunk house on the dz, and there are bunkhouses that skydivers own. Call manifest at 386-738-3539 for more information on those. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
