Are there any female skydivers that live in or around Sacramento or Placerville, California? I will be out there "for business" in 2 weeks and I can't really afford a hotel plus rental car for the weekend. I'm counting on finding some help through this extended family of dz.com!!!!

HELP HELP HELP!!!! :)

yeah, right, you certainly did.... NOT, cause if you had, you would have gotten to hang out with Skymamma -- you haven't, I have... so there.

besides I live in Tacoma WA currently... that's more like a 2 hr plane ride to Sacramento.

I have no idea where it is! I've never been there! :)

Placerville is in the boonies (sort of, it's not terrible).... it's east and a little south of Sacramento in the foothills. beware, there aren't any good restraunts out there. it's not hard to get to.

I looked up Placerville in google, it's an old gold mining town. "Placerville is a charming California "gold rush" town named after the placer gold deposits found in its’ river beds and hills in the late 1840’s."

On the subject of Dropzones, Skydance Skydiving near Davis California (close to Sacremento) Is a very nice place. I have no doubt if you go there finding a place to stay for the weekend would not be too difficult. (unless the weather is like it is today and nobody is there >:()

My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Yes Placerville was a gold boom town. It is the closest thing to a city (now) to Sutters Mill which most Americans are taught in school as the site that started the California Gold Rush. Placerville is on highway 50 which is build on the old pony express route.

We have a house near there just outside of Auburn California (about 10 miles from the Auburn Foothill bridge);)
