riggerrob 643 #27 April 14, 2003 The first cop that pulled me over refused to speak my mother tongue even though he pulled me over in front of my grandmother's house, on the outskirts of my home town. He still wrote me a ticket for not having the registration on board. The second time I passed a cop - without the registration - but only got a warning. Ticketed once for expired license plate. Twice for burnt out tail light. Ironically I was drunk the first time, but the cop let off with a warning. The second time I was sober and as soon as the cop realized I was sober (Saturday evening leaving the DZ) the cop let me off. Actually I have been pulled over three times while drunk, but never got charged with drunken driving. The first time it was obvious to all concerned that I was drunk, but it was equally obvious that I was headed for the barracks at the end of the street, to sleep it off. The second time I kept my mouth shut and the military policeman never noticed as he was pre-occupied by a burnt out tail light. The third time, the German police man was so busy taking a statement from the woman who rear-ended me that he never noticed that I had been drinking. Oh and as for the time the German cop pulled me over for passing him in a construction zone ... I pled guilty.
