dzdiva 7 #1 April 14, 2003 I'm just curious as to how many people out there consider their spouse or significant other to be their best friend. I can honestly say that my boyfriend is my best friend. We are so much alike and we connect on so many different levels. I've never felt this close to anyone. I can tell him anything. We might have different views on some things, but I know he listens to me with an open mind. I know that he will love and support me in whatever I choose to do. I consider myself very fortunate to have found my best friend in the man I love. Thanks Greg!"It's not just a daydream if you choose to make it your life..." Brokeneagle 0 #2 April 14, 2003 Absolutely so-- John is best friend and the love of my life- I also consider myself the luckiest person on the earth to have met him-- he, on the other hand, says that it is not luck, but that we were destined for each other (happy sigh) And the best of the best? He's a skydiver, too...Brokeneagle. I'm really very gentle, no matter what my kung-fu teacher says... he is giving me a reputation I do not deserve! eeneR 3 #19 April 14, 2003 That is the only way to have a strong relationship ....Above and beyond all you have to be very good and close friends. The rest is icing on the cake In my case he is more then just my best friend...he is my partner in crime too!!!! I could think of anyone else that I would want to spend my life with! My take on this is that if your spouse is NOT your best friend, you must live in a very unhappy, unhealthful house. Love, friendship, and respect are the cornerstones of a great relationship. Remove any one of the three, and the result is something that is shakier than a two-legged stool and just as uncomfortable. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.
