I just cant see myself diving out head first, shit man thats scary. I just dont know whether I can do it or not. Theres a big difference in exiting stable and exiting like that! quade 4 #104 April 15, 2003 Quote Would you please tell me how to do that? Right, doing it to myself, now how in the hell do I undo it? And how in the hell am I going to convince myself to go out head first. I gotta book you could read if you really want to know. It's called "The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom" by Don Miguel Ruiz The basic premise of the book is that most (all?) of what you believe to be true about yourself and others are things you've simply agreed to believe. Somebody gives a kid a tracking test in the 3rd grade, he fails and is told he's stupid, suddenly his life changes and guess what, he believes he's stupid and everyone around him believes he's stupid simply because he agreed to whatever the test said. And almost EVERYTHING is like this. Somewhere along the line you either told yourself or somebody told you that tunnels and all this other stuff you're afraid of is dangerous and scary and at some point you agreed to that concept and now it's damn near freekin' robbed you of enjoying some really fantastic experiences. Hey, you can believe this stuff I'm telling you or not, but it sure as heck makes a LOT of sense when you read the book.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Zenister 0 #105 April 15, 2003 thats the point you HAVE to learn how to get stable whenever you want.. you wont pass AFF6 (? i think its been a while) if you cant. at some point no matter how good your exits are youre going to be unstable in RW they call it a funnel..FFers dont care mostlythey did tell you what body position to use to stablize didnt they? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. Ofcourse, this is Eloy, and I have about a ton of complements on that. The last jump, they said there is no room for improvement because it was textbook and I did it perfectly, especially the arch. This, with the exception that they keep saying that Im trying to "muscle" my way into it, so they keep saying relax, take it easy, dont get hyper. Got a good "arm shaking" on the last one. lewmonst 0 #109 April 15, 2003 Quote I'm thinkin' for skydivers it's like; Team Extreme guys PD Blue guys Groovy Camera Flyers Folks that work at the school ('cause like, it's against the rules, right?) The guy that just made his 1000th jump Somebody cool at a boogie Beer goggles A GUY THAT JUST DID A TANDEM . . . pretty good placement of the camera flyers in there... but don't forget, it takes a really good and groovy camera flyer to make PD blue look good. peacehttp://www.exitshot.com
quade 4 #110 April 15, 2003 Hey, when I said PD Blue guys, I meant all of them including the camera flyer and I think the only thing that would be really difficult about shooting for them would be the 0.02 seconds you'd have to get that freekin' exit before they'd key it. I just watched their entire 2000 season the other day and DAMN that's some fast stuff. Anyway, it was more of a generic ideal team anyway since they don't really exist anymore, but ya know, I still know a lot of female types lusting after them (some male types too now that I think about it) When I said "Groovy Camera Flyers", I meant . . . well . . . you know . . . groovy camera flyers but a little more accessible.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
