mujie96 0 #1 April 15, 2003 Am I supposed to be COUGHING from allergies or have I perhaps contracted SARS? Seriouslym I've never been allergic to anything in my life. Do you generally cough or am I maybe sick? (like physically ill I mean....) Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....

quade 4 #3 April 15, 2003 Coughing isn't normally my first reaction to an allergy. Watery eyes, sniffles, burning eyes, heavy sinus flow, asthma, splitting headache, think I'm gonna die. ltdiver 3 #4 April 15, 2003 Could be simple bronchitis. Doctor visit, please. This doesn't go away on its own. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
jmpnkramer 0 #5 April 15, 2003 Yeah probably Bronchitis. You need to see a doctor. I have Asthma and it has been giving me an unusual amount of trouble this year. I am normally not this bad. My lungs have been filling up though which in turn makes it harder to breathe and then it also makes me cough a bunch. Seriously let a doc check it out though and get a chest X-Ray. It might be a bit of a cost on the front end but well worth it. Trust me. Here at work we have two people almost die from pneumonia this year. All because they blew the symptoms off. skymama 37 #6 April 15, 2003 Is it a dry cough, or a phlegmy cough? That would make a difference as to what it might be. I know when my son's allergies kick up he starts coughing and the doctor said it's because his nose is draining into his throat and giving him that tickle that makes him cough. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
mujie96 0 #7 April 15, 2003 My health insurance won't be in effect for another week or so so no docter I'm afraid. Its kind of a tight dry coughy feeling in my chest all the time, with, of course, the runny nose and sinus pain. Makes for fun ear adventures when jumping lately. My throat hurts too. OK, I'm all whined out I have to go take the rental car back. Cheers! Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....
SpeedRacer 1 #8 April 15, 2003 weird. I can always tell if it's allergies or an actual infection. I can FEEL when it's an infection. I can even tell when the virus has been killed, even though I'm still sniffling (stuffy nose continues for a few days at the end of a cold, even though you are no longer contagious). Well, if it is pollen allergies, just think: Pollen = plant sperm. You are sneezing because it is springtime and all these trees, flowers, and other plants are basically wanking off into the atmosphere in a great, global, public, outdoor circle-jerk. And they can't even be arrested for it, go figure. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
skymama 37 #9 April 15, 2003 Yeah, whenever I have a sinus infection, my teeth start hurting for some reason and I can smell the funk in my face. Another way to know, mujie, is if the discharge from your nose is clear (which is good) or if it is colored yellow or green. There's a zinc nose spray that I've used that works really well to shorten the duration of a cold. I can't think of the name, but it's in the cold aisle and it starts with a "Z".She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Andrea, Your teeth hurt because the sinus cavities are around and above them, at the base of the brain. Yes indeed, yellow and green nastiness accompanies mine, though I just had sinus operation number two about 2 wks ago, so I'm hoping it'll end. My throat hurts too. That's exactly what symptoms I have, and yes, despite my co-workers accusing me of having SARS, it's allergies. It happens every year. This is your first year in a new place, right? That's always the worst time for seasonal allergies. Your body is like HEY WTF IS THIS CRAP IN THE AIR COUGH HACK WHEEZE. Just get some OTC allergy medicine and pass your days in a legal high. Although last night my throat hurt so bad at 4 a.m. I gave up and took some a Vicodin left over from a skydiving injury so I could get some sleep.Skydiving is for cool people only
