dzdiva 7 #1 April 19, 2003 So the city is trying to sell Chambersburg Airport. This is where it all started for me, my home. The question is if they sell it then where will I be able to go? I live about 30 minutes northwest of Baltimore. I'm looking for the closest one to me. My dz now is kind of small and I like that. Everyone there is like family, I know all the instructors and I trust them. If anyone can give me info on dz's either in Maryland, Pennsylvania or Virginia I would appreciate it. Either post or pm me. Blue Skies- Diva"It's not just a daydream if you choose to make it your life..."
mnischalke 0 #2 April 19, 2003 Ouch! That was on my list of to-visit dzs! If you make it down to Virginia, Orange is the place to be. There's about a 50/50 mix of freeflyers and bellybuddies and we all get in the same Super Otter, Mr. Super Fabulous. It's an awesome dz with a brand new hangar on the horizon. You can go to the dz reviews for more info, because I gotta go cut up a 300 lb chunk of ice for the ice luge tomorrow night! (if that tells you anything) Come once, your search will be over mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. dzdiva 7 #3 April 19, 2003 You can still visit. Nothing is supposed to happen until the end of the year. There's always the chance it won't be sold. Thanks for the info! I've heard alot of good things about Orange. "It's not just a daydream if you choose to make it your life..."

DYEVOUT 0 #6 April 20, 2003 Above the Poconos Skydivers in Hazleton, Pa is where I'm gonna finish my program. They're nice, highly experienced folks with well maintained equipment (C185 & C182), and a good safety record. You just missed their Safety Day (nite - 8 to 10pm, Good Friday). Their site is linked on here - it's 2 - 2 1/2 hrs to Chambersburg (I went to their Safety Day) ----------------=8^)---------------------- "I think that was the wrong tennis court."
