jceman 1 #1 April 20, 2003 I was going to post an "I'm Happy" thread, but in the light of our community's loss, I changed my mind and went with what you see. I have two items of good news:On Monday, 9 weeks and 5 days after crashing his C170 on I95, Freddie Brown was finally moved to the rehab ward. He is in therapy from 0800 to 1530 each day. He has his trach out and can speak normally, though weakly; Lynn and I talked with him Tuesday evening and he has set a goal of getting well enough to attend WFFC in Rantoul. He will, of course, not be jumping, but wants to come party and visit with everyone. If all continues well, he may be able to attend therapy as an out-patient in a month. As we were driving back up to Jacksonville this afternoon, my cell phone rang, it was my oldest son Chris's cell phone but I knew he wasn't calling from Iraq, as his wife Patty had called us from it a couple weeks ago. It wasn't Patty, though, it was Chris! He arrived home safely at 0130 EDT on Saturday. His family (especially TLML and I) thank you for all your good thoughts. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

wmw999 2,587 #5 April 20, 2003 That's great news on both of those. I can only imagine how you've felt with your son gone -- so glad he's back.
