Dixie Chicks...who cares....

Recommended Posts

I like their music, but not the stupid mouth on one of them. So, it's my choice to buy or not to buy their cd's. They have the right to speak what they think. This is America. The press, the bubbas, and Diane Sawyer should just get a life and remember what Patrick Henry said: "I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it". Now I have to wonder how many of you know who he was???? Oh, ya, I think the Chicks are HOT, baby, HOT!

In a concert in London, England, this week, Maines told the crowd: "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."

I'm not from Texas, but I have the general idea that it is stupid to criticize other Texans or the state of Texas. I also understand that a lot of country music fans are not of a liberal political persuasion. Country fans generally get upset when someone makes derogatory remarks about Texas, Texans, country music, the US. Anything new there?

Personally, I try to think before speaking. If I am ever at an international event, I will think a lot longer first.

Natalie expressed her opinion, now her fans are expressing theirs. Does she expect to do or say whatever she wants without consequences? Welcome to adulthood. She has the right to say whatever she wants, but she has to accept that the price is being paid by her purse. Is that what she is complaining about?

I personally think that they know that not everyone will agree with what was said.(I certainly do not) But they have received death threats and crimes against their property(vandalism) over the comment. I believe that is taking freedom of expression a little too far. just my opinion.

Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

If you keep asking, someone will say yes. ;)
Try showing up at the dz when there is a women's event going on (like JFTC). Odds should be in your favor then.

Well, I would have to start asking in order to keep asking. :)

You need to go after the girls that already know how to pack. Trust me on this. I took full advantage of the fact that I dated my first jumpmaster and rarely had to pack.:$

Good luck and start asking.
