SanDiegoRW 0 #1 April 26, 2003 I bought a Bomber F/F suit recently and I want to prevent the colors from running or fading. It's red and yellow. Anyone have any suggestions as far as how to wash it? It hasn't been washed yet. Also, anyway to make this material shrink a little bit? It's a little baggier than I would prefer. -Kenny
Raefordite 0 #2 April 26, 2003 Wash in cold water, gentle cycle. No woolite (sp? - the stuff you hand wash things with) or Tide. Remove it immediately from the washer when done. If it sits in the washer wet - that is when the colors bleed the most. Hang it over a rack so the colors won't touch. DO NOT DRY! Sorry about the size, but if you try to shrink it, it won't work. The thread and binding, velcro and mixed fabrics will all shrink at different rates. If that much too big - have it stitched up by a rigger or local stitcher. Good luck!
