Viking 0 #1 April 27, 2003 SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!! We went into the meet ranked 4th down 66 points from the leader. We finished the meet up 37 points and kicked the shit out of everyone!!!! This is sooooo fucking cool!!! According to my coach we havn't won a conference championship in almost 7 years!! Ok now about todays torture test (aka the 200 yard Butterfly) Since there weren't enough people to fill out the event properly everyone that swam it went to the finals and got a chance to score points for there team. Thats means that i had to swim this damn thing TWICE in ONE day!! In the prelims I went out WAY to fast (swam a 28 for the first 50) as a result the last 50 yards were the worst 49 seconds of my life thus far. when i hit the wall every muscle in my body was numb and i had a POUNDING head ache! I had swum a 2:34. To my amazment i didn't come in last! So i go cool down witch takes half an hour before the headache goes away for the most part, and i can pull myself up out of the pool. I go get changed and call Call kate (skygal3) she picks up and we talk for twenty minutes. She has such a cute voice to match the rest of her cute self!!So about five hours later its time for finals. I am somewhat rested up but nervous as all hell! Then one of the girls on the team wants to know if she can take pictures of me swimming for her panning assignment in one of her photography class' Hehehehehe this gets my mind off the race for a little while. Not for long though b/c the announcer calls up the doomed. Up on the block i go. I try to go slower on the first 50 i feel really good and at every turn i see more and more of my team mates in there red parka and there screaming faces. I feel awsome right up until the last 25 According to my coachs i had been leading the race until then. I died!! I couldn't pick my arms up or kick my legs for anything!! Thats when i saw the guy on my left creep past me DAMNIT!!!!!! I hit the wall gasping and panting. Hand shake to that guy that beat me on the last 25.
