WeakMindedFool 0 #5 May 3, 2003 I feel your pain, I'm in nor cal and was cancelled by rain too and it was only my 4th jump...better for the west coast soon! JayhawkJumper 0 #6 May 3, 2003 I feel your pain Lisa, its beautiful here today, but I can't jump b/c I have a meeting at 2:00 and its an hour and a half to the DZ. Why couldn't we meet in the morning or evening??? And I don't even get to jump all through June and July b/c of school.

samp76 0 #11 May 3, 2003 You think that not fair. Try ordering your Odyssey back in January, having it shipped on April 30th, paying for 2nd day air(So I could have it by Fridayf?ck it up after it gets all the way to my state and decides to ship it back to Florida. Now that's not fair. Let go of the NUT!!
Deuce 1 #12 May 3, 2003 No foolin! Tomorrow has potential. It better, cause I have this huge fucking lizard breathing down my neck. It's hard to concentrate on anything else. Plus, on rainy days I start messing around with my gear, wondering what else there is left to own. (Yes, I work for the Very Big Corporation of America - name the film) I took my PC 120 apart and put it back together. I've got a couple parts left over, too. Must not be all that important... jessd 0 #13 May 3, 2003 Quote(Yes, I work for the Very Big Corporation of America - name the film) Is this line from Fight Club? "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
Deuce 1 #14 May 3, 2003 BZZZT! WRONG! It featured a comic troupe from Britain..... But heck, I may be misquoting. I'm paying bills. Whoo. Thrilling. I can even pay some of them online! This lizard has these dangly things under it's chin, kinda like a turkey thingie. But green and leathery.

Deuce 1 #16 May 3, 2003 Yep. I think it was "Meaning of Life". They're all sitting in this neato boardroom in NYC and the only item on the agenda is "Contemplating what there is left to own." Winnah!
jessd 0 #17 May 3, 2003 QuoteBZZZT! WRONG! OPPS. It sounded like something that was said at the beginning of Fight Club when Ed Norton was talking about all the stuff he buys. mujie96 0 #21 May 4, 2003 I left Phoenix at 5 am to get out here for cheap jumps-the drive was beautiful until we got into the 50 mile radius of crap surrounding Perris and Elsinore. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. Jess Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....
dgskydive 0 #22 May 4, 2003 Lisa, you should have stuck to your rain or shine agenda! THe weather cleared and I made 5 jumps today. They lowered prices to 12.00 per jump. See you in the a.m.Dom
Michele 1 #23 May 4, 2003 Lisa, I'll tell you what's not fair.... Says Mujie.... QuoteOh well, maybe tomorrow. I need to be doing family stuff today. Yesterday was the only day (and my b'day) that I could jump for maybe the next 10 days....and it totally tanked. Even when the weather cleared around 3 and they started putting loads up, I decided against jumping because the winds were weird...gusts to 27. Nope, not for me. And then today is absolutely gorgeous. Bright blue, a little chilly for May in CA, but absolutely glorious.... So, Lisa, NOT FAIR is right....but at least you have today! I had a marvelous dinner "party", made some new friends, and it was actually a good day standing around and chatting in the rain. Pity I haven't touched the sky in a while...but maybe soon. VivaHeadDown 0 #25 May 5, 2003 The weather sucked, and I only got 8 in this weekend, including a hop'n'pop just so I could go home feeling like I didn't waste my day on the DZ. You can't complain about the weather, if you're not willing to wait for the holes. I guess you can, but let me tell you, Saturday turned out pretty damn good. 5 jumps, free tunnel t-shirt for the ground breaking of the Perris Skyventure Tunnel, hell of a good time at Jack's party. Life is good, even if everything didn't work out as planned! Don't Confuse Me With My Own Words
