suz 0 #1 May 4, 2003 Ok....I've taken a HUGE breath and decided to do the "Big Move" to Melbourne. Those who aren't familiar with what's going on in the wee little world of Suz....allow me to fill you in. There's not alot of catching up for you to do, basically I quit my job, my hearts been broken too many times, there's no jobs going in this city that I am currently living in, blah blah blah...time for me to move. Quite simple, huh? Anyway, I'm really excited about the move. Will be moving to Melbourne within the month. Just want to know who can tuck me under their wing and guide me to the best DZ near Melbourne. PM me if you wanna. Cheers! Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after

skymick 0 #6 May 4, 2003 Hey, there's pretty much 3 main DZs in Vic. Commandos in Pakenham (soon to be tooradin) is a club DZ which is running a cesna and GA8 (think of a 8 seater cessna...in other words..very slow ) and a nomad that doesnt see the light of day much. I like it there but I find people who didnt start jumping there dont like it. Nagambie is a nice DZ (good place for big way flat fly) with a caravan but a bitch to drive to. Lastly theres Barwon with a 10 place cresco...awesome plane, great atmosphere too and a good mix of flat and freefly. Hope that helpscheers

suz 0 #8 May 5, 2003 what's the closest to the south-eastern side of melbourne? Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after
skymick 0 #9 May 5, 2003 Pakenham is South east of Melbourne about 50 min..it will be at Tooradin in 2 months or so but thats pretty much in the same direction. Nagmabie is Central Vic (about 1 and a half hours from the city) and Barwon is about 1 hr from the city past Geelong (on the west side of Vic). Theres also Taralgon skydivers, but thats just a tiny one cessna DZ about 2 hours sth east of Melbounre.
