blewaway5 0 #1 May 4, 2003 Wish me luck, people. While I love this time of year because the weather is really entertaining the weather can be a real bitch, too. As I sit typing this there are tornados touching down all around Kansas City, which for those of you who don't know, is where I live. They've been showing video on tv of some of the damage that's been caused so far, and it sucks to be these people. I've only got some trees messed up, no big deal, but there's another string of storms headed this way. On the plus side, it had been a couple years since I saw a tornado, not to mention the baseball size hail did miss meedit to add: they just reported the first death from this thing Truman Sparks for President
jessd 0 #2 May 4, 2003 Shouldn't you be in the basement taking shelter? Let us know if you see a witch outside your window riding a broom. Anyway - be safe. I'm afraid of thunder and lightening. Good thing we don't have to worry about tornados where I live. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..." blewaway5 0 #3 May 4, 2003 Hi Jess! Nah, I'm doing good right here at the computer. The bulk of the danger area for this particular storm is about 20 minutes away from me right now, and if it gets too bad I'll probably try to get some cool pictures or something stupid like that. JamesNahikian 0 #4 May 5, 2003 Been there, done that (twice). Hadda oak tree end up right where I formerly had enjoyed my oatmeal, a relative's house in Plainwell, MI. A tornado really does sound like a freight train overhead FWIW. D. James Nahikian CHICAGO

eddytheeagle 0 #7 May 5, 2003 Quote i remember when a tornado hit archway....that sucked a whole lot. I was at archway today, staying on the ground because of the wind/rain/thunder. Guess what we talked about..., yep, THE Tornado. Yesterday, however, was much better, with lots of jumping Don't underestimate your ability to screw up!
