blondeflyer7 0 #1 May 5, 2003 How do you feel about them? When they lurk, blurt out things, and dissappear when they are found out. Unfortunately the troll that lurks amongs us alot is using different forms of names....One of the trolls I know well and is sick to know he continues to lurk here. I wish there was a way to stop the nonsence! I guess it is asking alot to pin point the trolls unless they continue.... This is just another form of stalking and control! This person seems to think I have no idea this is happening, the funny thing is I know exactly when this troll posts.....the latest was deleted....hmmmm wonder why

blondeflyer7 0 #4 May 5, 2003 Quotewhat is a troll? A troll is someone who just signs in and says thier venting without anyone knowing who or where they came from they can be rude at times and say un truthful things.....I personally don't mind if they want to read what we post but to post things that are not helpful to the readers and are just trying to make themselves feel better I think they should keep it to themselves. Zeemax 0 #5 May 5, 2003 its also a small kinda goblin... often green, found under bridges.Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies
billvon 3,120 #6 May 5, 2003 Just a quick point here - In the real world of skydiving there are people who don't know what crossports are even if they have hundreds of jumps. There are people who don't know how to stow legstraps, who don't know that reserves use freebags, and who don't know that some students jump sabres. No one wants to get caught by a troll, but let's not let that fear prevent us from helping out people who really don't know what's going on. Not everyone who seems clueless is a troll. happythoughts 0 #9 May 5, 2003 Some times anonymous people just want a discussion on a topic. The distinguishing characteristic of trolls is that they are usually very antagonistic. The point of their posts is generally not to provide or gain information, but anger the participants.
riggerrob 643 #10 May 5, 2003 Not everyone who seems clueless is a troll. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yes, some of those questions are asked by junior jumpers who really need our help/experience/guidance. On the other hand, something small, green, foul-smelling and goblin-like hiding under a bridge sounds like a failed BASE jumper, slowly rotting into obscurity. Hee! Hee! If you truly believe that someone is trolling (asking miscevious questions), treat them like schoolyard bullies. Ignore them and eventually they will go away.
