meridianjumper 0 #1 May 5, 2003 I am a jumper from Skydive Alabama, located in Cullman, AL. Several of the other jumpers that I have talked to would love to get some balloon jumps at the DZ one weekend. Now that it is getting warmer and staying lighter longer, I would like to try to set something up. Does anyone know where or who I need to contact that lives kinda near the area that flys jumpers in their balloons? Blue Skies, Jeremy

riddler 0 #3 May 5, 2003 Quote Now that it is getting warmer Cold weather. Balloons like cold weather. Plan it for the early spring or late fall. You will get a longer ride and won't have to wake up at 5 am to do it. And don't worry - you will be *plenty* warm under those 80,000 BTU burners. Trapped on the surface of a sphere. newshooter12 0 #4 May 5, 2003 I asked my friend, whose brother owns a balloon tour company, and he said that the insurance is insane if they want to have jumpers. So I guess I'll have to jump one at a boogie some day.
PhreeZone 20 #5 May 5, 2003 There is a jumper in Ill that could probally help you out in getting you any info you need. Look up TandemTerry's email address on rec.skydiving and contact him. He's a jumper and a balloon operator. Alan (username Alan) on here is the same. Both can help you out with what ever questions you have. Basically low winds and plenty of outs is a basic requirement.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
