mountainman 0 #1 May 5, 2003 My brother and I did a demo jump into the opposition forces while playing BF1942 DC mod .31. Our jump plane was an Apache. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

bobsled92 0 #3 May 5, 2003 If we could just combined "Kelly Slater's" Pro Surfing with that: "Severe/Extreme Skysurfing"(all the skydive video games I own=stink....still)p.s. get any manuvers with the game's jumps? _______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
bch7773 0 #4 May 5, 2003 nah, that game has the most unrealistic skydiving ever. it is fun to take a b-17 all the way to altitude then jump out and freefall... once he reaches terminal he starts screaming hahaha. but at about 10 feet you can pop the chute open and magically survive. oh yeah, you can also accurately shoot a bazooka under canopy. too bad we couldn't do that at demos MB 3528, RB 1182
mountainman 0 #5 May 5, 2003 Well, its not a skydiving game, so it really isn't supposed to be THAT realistic. However, if a pilot jumped out of a plane back in the day, they just might go kicking like that until opening the container. Also, if you take a plane REAL high and jump out. After he gets done screaming or saying "Geronimo", if you wait another 5 seconds or so, he FARTS. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

I think that game is gonna take over my life if I'm not careful . . . . . =(_8^(1)
akaGQ 0 #7 May 5, 2003 Oh just so everyone will know the mod I was talking about is called Desert Combat 0.2 and 0.3 this is the one that changes everything to Iraqi and present american weaponry...ya know hummers, M1A1's Bradley, F-16s, FA18's, AV8B's, Hueys, Apaches they even have the MI-24 HIN-D. Fucking hard as shit to fly but if you can do it its a ruthless bird. - GQ ... it was the love of the air and sky and flying, the lure of adventure, the appreciation of beauty ... -Charles Lindberg
mountainman 0 #8 May 5, 2003 Which one are you talking about being "ruthless" ? Is that the Iraqi chopper ? That thing is a bitch to fly. I have the Apache and Blackhawk down cold... but that Iraqi helicopter (the one with desert cammo) is holy hell. It is a bit sensitive to the controls. http://www.brandonandlaura.com
FallingILweenie 0 #9 May 5, 2003 ok, since this is a computer-y thread, i'll ask this question here.... I was playing civ 3 last night, as i have many times on this machine. after i played, the next time i went to use my computer, i noticed that everything that should be white (backgrounds on open windows, outlines on buttons, start menu--everything) was instead white with tiny vertical light blue-light green-ish lines. I went into control panel and i noticed that my computer's concept of what "white" is is messed up, that it is this color with lines on it. Now, any slightly off-white color is fine, it's just white. I tried changing resolutions, color settings, etc. I haven't tried switching monitors yet, but i was wondering if anyone had any idea what the hell is wring with this thing. the monitor is a 18 inch gateway flat panel. video card is a geForce 4 ti 4200. Any help is appreciated, cuz this is buggin the hell out of me. edited to add: i only mentioned i played civ cuz that's when i first noticed the change. i tried running the game again and it worked, but also had these lines where things should be straight white. I can put it anywhere and land pretty much at any checkpoints. I like landing on those checks that are pretty much just the pads that fix the tanks. heh heh heh... Or, if I am collaborating with someone, I'll fly the Blackhawk and fly all over the place sideways and they just cleanhouse with the gun (Pos. #3). It's good stuff. http://www.brandonandlaura.com
akaGQ 0 #12 May 7, 2003 I agree but riding with a bot flying...whoa hehehe all I can say is Hop-n-pops galore they make ya think they know what they are doing then you see the huey go belly up and its like ok time to bail. But I love take the mig up til it stalls then bailing out and freefalling its really cool cause you can dump at like 5 feet off the ground and still be ok....too bad that isnt reality...hehe But for some reason my puter reverted back to 0.2 over 0.3 dont get it. but whatever - GQ ... it was the love of the air and sky and flying, the lure of adventure, the appreciation of beauty ... -Charles Lindberg
