Guest #1 May 7, 2003 Stumbled across this while I was surfing for spaceflight info. The DSKY was the keypad that Apollo astronauts used to communicate with the main flight computer in the Lunar Module. Just some trivia for computer afficianados: The LM had two computers - the main computer and the Abort Computer. These devices represented the absolute state of the art in 1969. The main computer had 2kB of RAM, 2kB of ROM, a clock speed of 300kHz, and was comprised almost entirely of flat-pack quad NOR gate ICs... It weighed 75 pounds and was the size of a suitcase.
