billvon 3,121 #6 May 8, 2003 Not all that unusual. It's not unheard of to find teeth, hair, small bones etc during surgery - often these are 'debris' of an irregular mitosis during blastocyst formation. If that happens at one of the very first divisions you can get a twin. If it happens later you can get a piece of a twin, sometimes inside the other twin. riddler 0 #8 May 8, 2003 During an ultrasound I had, doctors discovered a Renal Angiomyolipoma (forgive the spelling). Basically a bump on my kidney. They occur in about 1 in 10,000 patients. One doctor said a small percentage of them can be a twin that your body has re-absorbed. Still grosses me out to this day.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. BBKid 0 #9 May 8, 2003 Argh - jeez! This reminds me of Omen 4, where Damien's daughter is pregnant with Damien's grandson's mother's fish. Or something. Freakish either way. Nick --------------------------- "I've pierced my foot on a spike!!!"
Guest #10 May 8, 2003 Stephen King used it as the basis of a novel, too. I'm thinking of "The Dark Half", but someone please correct me if I've got the title wrong."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
