freeflir29 0 #1 May 12, 2003 So...I get this DSL right. Well...during the software install it "upgraded" me from 5.5 to 6.0. Never had ANY problems before. Now.....I can only see graphics on about half the web pages I go to. I have tried downloading Service Pack 1 and the security update. Helped a little...it doesn't crash as much. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this crap!!!

freeflir29 0 #4 May 12, 2003 Thanks Viking....Mozilla Mo'Good!!! I love the speed of this DSL (Dowloaded 12M of Mozilla in about 30 seconds!!) but their software SUCKS!!! I'll just use the Yahoo DSL page for checking my mail and Mozilla for surfing. This will work!

PhillyKev 0 #8 May 12, 2003 I have no problems with IE6. You need to apply the latest service packs though. If you go run the windows auto update it'll fix it for you.
Zenister 0 #9 May 12, 2003 when you "upgraded" it probably changed the settings in your firewall software. You may have to go in and tell your firewall that the new IE prog is allowed unrestricted access. i got "upgraded" too..took me a bit to figure out why nothing would show the way it was supposed to..____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. Opie 0 #11 May 12, 2003 Hey Mozilla guys, I tried it putting it on an old machine that I put together but it didn't show me the pics on pages. Just the little x in the places that should have them. What's up with that? I went back to an old version of IE for now but might try it again. Thanks in advance.

freeflir29 0 #15 May 12, 2003 Quote not sure what firewall system your using I have had Zonealarm for a couple years now. It seems to do a good job. I also got some crap called "True Vector" with the DSL software. Not really sure exactly what all it does yet. Quote opera and mozila rulz man after a week u`ll forget the old IE Yep....after just part of a day with Mozilla I'm sold. No problems since I uninstalled all that Pain in the ASS Quicktime software!!!!
