Rdutch 0 #1 May 12, 2003 Lol, Im still laughing just thinking about it. The header should read "Intentional Cutaway turns into accidental reserve deployment" Actually you know what this is funny, so I will let Tb99 explain, but feel free to ask or comment. Oh yeah this all happened on the ground and oh yeah he owes beer BIG TIME!. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

TB99 0 #3 May 12, 2003 Haha, funny funny Ray I haven't had much time to read the boards lately, just noticed my name and I knew what it was goin to be. It wasn't really THAT bad ... I'm just happy I still did my cutaway. I'm untangeling the main and repacking the reserve this week to re-cut away it all again. Also repacking the round belly mount. That's only if I have time after work ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

TB99 0 #6 May 12, 2003 No no no ... I was planning on doing an intentional cutaway, and when I was gearing up, I accidentally deployed my belly mount reserve. So that had to be re-closed then I did my cutaway. The canopy I cutaway is in a big balled mess, as expected, and that's what I'm repacking, along with the reserve. I'm just redoing the belly mount to learn how to pack a round. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Quote Oops, that's not the handle I pick it up with is it, It was too funny I hear pop, and the look on his face was priceless, I wish I had a camera. The canopy I cutaway is in a big balled mess, as expected, Quote You can say that again, it looked like a perfect ball, I wanted to catch it so bad, but I know how dangerous it is. At least yours landed on the Airport, that's the advantages of intentional's, mine took an hour of walking in the Jungle to find it. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
 kevin922 0 #9 May 12, 2003 i have a question about intentional cutaways.. on an intentional cutaway you have a normal rig (reserve & main) and a belly mount reserve.. so lets say your main malfunctions like it is "supposed to" you cut it away and you deploy your back mount reserve? then lets say your reserve malfunctions - you can't cut that away so what is a belly mount going to do for you say you have a lineover on the reserve.
 Rdutch 0 #10 May 12, 2003 On an intentional cutaway rig, there is 2 set's of 3 ring's. So you can cutaway the Reserve, then cleanly deploy your belly mount reserve. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
 TB99 0 #12 May 12, 2003 Yes, they are rigs made for this. You can't just make your rig into one. There are 4 handles instead of 2. Your normal cutaway and reserve, then above the reserve handle is your reserve cutaway and the belly mount handle is, well, on the belly mount. I did it to test how fast a particular reserve opened out of a particular container, for anyone who was curious. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
