ladyskydiver 0 #28 May 14, 2003 1 exhausted LadySkyDiver: 3: 1 Had some great jumps last night. First jump of the day was a tribute to Quinn. I, also, didn't have my rig so I borrowed a friend's rig and jumped for the first time a Triathalon 135. Holy cow that was fun! Had a blast with the canopy. Opened high to crank on it and see how it handled. Realized that compared to my Silhouette 170, this thing has a much quicker decent - DUH! Set up my landing pattern at 500 ft. ('cause with my Silhouette I can make it), and realize that I'm not going to make the landing area. Land ok and crack up laughing. Changing canopy size and actually going from a .8 to 1 to a 1.22 to 1 is a nice change. I know that my next downsizing will be to something closer to what my ratio was with the 135. Second jump of the day my rig showed up at the DZ. (I'm having patches sewn on it.) And, I got to jump it with the memorial patch to my dad on it. Love ya, dad! The last jump of the day - sunset load - did a 9 way speed star. It so rocked! Found out that I can get down to the big dawgs, but that I definitely need to wear weights. It was all I could do to make it to them and keep the fall rate up. But, I did it! YEAH!!! Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
