pchapman 279 #2 March 26, 2012 My uninformed guess as a starting point: Singer 68 rather than a 69.
irishrigger 32 #3 March 26, 2012 i cant see the pics very clearly, having issues with my computer, but could it be a bartack mashine?
councilman24 37 #4 March 26, 2012 It is a mechanical bartacker. What model number I'm not sure. The round disk on the back rear in the first photo is the cam that drives the pattern. Looks a whole lot a 68. http://parts.singerco.com/IPinstManuals/68.pdfI'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
piisfish 140 #5 March 26, 2012 Supposing it is a 68, how hard is it to find a cam for 28 or 42 stitches and install it ?scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
masterrigger1 2 #6 March 26, 2012 It is an early Class 68. Looks like a 21 stitch cam from what I can see of it. The cams are available from a couple of different places...Jado and Camatron.... I also might even have one in the attic. I probably do have a set of 42 stitch gears which you will also need if the ones in that machine are not for a 42 stitch setup. I am away on busines right now, but should be home the first of next week.So hit me up sometime next week if I do not remember to get back to you on this.
