diablopilot 2 #27 May 8, 2003 Well since we don't have an official rule book, I think we are open to interpritation. Questions to be answered: 1) Is flat flying included in freeflying? I say yes, as freeflying is being a TOTAL body pilot. (look at the millenium award) It's all good to be able to fly like a maniac on your head, but flat flying is a freefly skill too. 2)Are we going to include HYBRIDS in to the freeflying catagory, or are they their own catagory. That said, I think that's a great freefly base formation, and if it's fast enough can support foot docks on shoulders (which I can do) and head-down stingers on the head downs in the formation (which I can't, yet. diablopilot 2 #31 May 8, 2003 How about a 6 way with 3 hangers, and then we break the 6way round, and turn it into a zipper, then back to a round? Done it, looks nice on video. Or a 4 way with two hangers, break the round, sink one 3 way piece down so the flat flyers dock on the top 3 way hanger's feet. But it sounds like this thread is being hijacked by a bunch of people wanting to do hybrid dives and not freefly jumps. I personally don't care about a record but would rather have a gnarly kick ass time doing freefly jumps with other dark siders. If a record is set, that's a bonus, but as a low timer I'm more interested in developing my skill set. Also, has anyone noticed that Perris Valley has changed the look and feel of their website? We haven't heard much from Betsy, so I know she's grinding out a schedule for us here. If she says different, it'll be different, but I'd like to do hybrids on Friday. jp, if you'll help organize that would be great. You've done much more of this than me, but we will probably want to break into two groups for the initial jumps and then if you'd organize the bigger stuff, and turning peices, that would be great. I think we're doing RW on Saturday, so we could do freefly formations and VRW on Sunday? Let's see what Betsy comes up with. She NEVER disappoints! I plan on having a fun time no mater what kinds of jumps I'm on, as long as no one makes me jump solo!I'm scared of jumping alone!('cept on hop & pops of course, and Perris does have that really nice pond!)I know!
