ladyskydiver 0 #38 May 19, 2003 0: 13: 2 Totally awesome weekend! Friday, ChopChop showed up, and off to the DZ we went. He talked me into attempting to sit fly and we got in 5 sit fly jumps. Let's just say that I'm afraid of the pics he'll be posting. Met IndyZ at the DZ too. Saturday, I had my Canopy Control Class held by Scott Miller. Totally awesome guy! I learned a ton! And, if I can get a copy of the video of my landings, I ended up doing a totally kick ass swoop on one of them. Luckily, I had brought extra clothes and could shower off. ChopChop has some video but unfortunately, the original video that had the entire pieing was taped over. Sunday, we did 2 1/2 hours of ground training with Lem and then did 4 team dives. Lem's an awesome coach, and the team learned a lot. We're getting better - slowly. And, thanks, to ChopChop for videoing the jumps. So, beer owed for my first FF jumps and for my 100th. Didn't pay up on Saturday due to a party that was being held in honor of Billdo's going away. Billdo's moving to Orange county so y'all take care of him, k? Life is short! Break the rules! Guest #40 May 19, 2003 0:0:0 Had to shovel two truckloads of new soil into a wheelbarrow for trips to the backyard on Saturday for a landscaping project. I wasn't feeling fit enough to make a jump til late Sunday afternoon. I could have done a solo hop&pop from 3k or full altitude, but I figured why waste the money, when I need to get as much RW as I can before going to Lodi this Thursday morning. Besides, where $15 spent at Snohomish would get me a solo jump from 10k, it'll get me on an 8-way or more from 14k at Lodi in less than four days.
