FallinWoman 1 #26 May 22, 2003 I am a firm believer in balance. Too many skydivers make jumping their entire life. It is healthy to pursue other interests. I never want the DZ to be my entires social life. I admire you for making your choice. If you can, though, I would encourage you to keep your rig....You will hear the call of the sky again. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

Stacy 0 #28 May 22, 2003 Quote The part I hate right now is that I don't have that "family" feel at the DZ yet. I miss walking in the hangar and have at least 10 differen't people yell "Clay's here!!!!" I can relate to that one! Same thing happened when I moved to FL. ZHills is starting to get that "homey" feeling, but it takes a while!

Slappie 9 #33 May 22, 2003 Ok pulled my ads down off the site! I just can't sell the equipment. Nacmac, you might not be getting a FedEx pack. I'm going to the DZ this weekend. Dunno if I'll jump, but I'll be getting my rig back into my handsDammit sucks being a skydiver, you can never make a solid decision If I do get back into the air, I'm not going to be at the DZ every weekend. I have other interests I want to persue.. So I'll keep you posted. Push 0 #40 May 22, 2003 Jumping doesn't have to eat up your entire life. When you feel overwhelmed, skip a weekend. I'll see you in Rantoul -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.
wmw999 2,584 #41 May 22, 2003 I held onto my gear for about 15 years. Looked into selling it once, and realized it was worth more to me in my closet (round reserve). I don't regret it at all -- I used it for quite awhile after I started again, and I always knew I could when I wasn't jumping.
