Name that tune 80's style

Recommended Posts

ah yes, the 80's! who else had a pair of acid wash jeans? who else quit listening to van halen when diamond dave left? who else smoked a j or three and then layed on the floor in a dark room with pink floyd's "the wall" blaring at full volume? B|

for those poor souls that missed the 80's, go rent "fast times at ridgemont high'.

"Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart."

I was too little to know about pink floyd then;)...I was too busy singing, " Stop! Hammer time":P and "Too legit, Too legit to quit!"...and "I wanna sex you up!":P

He he he...too busy rollerskating in the "reverse skate only" portion, jumping on my pogo ball, kicking ass as the first girl on my street to have inline skates, building forts and squeezing my glow worm.:P

Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

He he he...I even knew the hand motions..."To the heart, tick-tock, ya don't, STOP STOP."

Ha ha ha! I was in third grade, though, when I listened to that;)

Oh, but as credit to myself...I WAS the only third-grader who LOVED the Beastie Boys!

Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

How about this one:

"I heard the knock on my door
I heard the ring of the bell
I got the message that I couldn't go

So many thoughts in my head
So many places to be
So many faces that I long to see

Standing in front of me tonight the lights will take me where I want to go
Just like a thousand nights before
I can't explain
It gives me some pain"

I did. I did. I may have, but no one has any proof of that one. ;)

Name this 80's tune....

"No time for friends
No time for rest
Straight home from school
she starts to get undressed.
It's 5 below but it's
hot down here.
I get so hot, everytime she comes near..."

"We're leaving together,
But still it's farewell
And maybe we'll come back,
To earth, who can tell?
I guess there is no one to blame
We're leaving ground
Will things ever be the same again?
"
--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Here's another one for you:

"Yes!
The best steel goes through the fire
And you seem to burn
The dead man's always a liar
Look out! There's another one learning!
Too late for tomorrow
There's only today
So take your magic carpet ride
"
--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

"No time for friends

Wasn't that a Sammy Hagar tune?

"I heard the knock on my door
I heard the ring of the bell
I got the message that I couldn't go . . . "

Styx something I think.

"Here's your ticket pack your bag, transportation is here"

Talking heads, burning down the house

"Time can never mend
The careless whispers of a good friend . . ."

George Michael, never gonna dance again
