Ron 10 #26 May 13, 2003 just to give you a story...I will never buy another Ford product. 2001 Mustang GT. 12,000 miles paint problem 18,000 miles Transmission problems (3rd gear sync, and shift fork) 38,000 miles Power steering rack replaced. 42,000 miles water pump. I don't know about yours, but mine is a piece of shit. Love the speed/handling...but I am spending WAY to much time driving it to the shop. BikerBabe 0 #27 May 13, 2003 As my car is beginning to fall apart, I've been seriously looking at the following: The WRX (#1 on my list...may wait until the STi comes out...300 hp and 4wd!) Rally cars: it just doesn't get any better than that. May also look at the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution...supposed to be just as good. Mini Cooper. God, that is one cool little car! VW Jetta TDI. 49 mpg, nice-looking, nice-handling. Very nice little car. I'd recommend a test drive. There are sure a lot of smart people on here....look at what's leading your poll!!! mattb 0 #28 May 13, 2003 If you're buying a Land Rover - expect to pay out the ass. I'd never actually buy but am looking forward to the next time Hertz upgrades me so I can tool around the airport and hotel parking lot in a vehicle made for going off road. PhreeZone 20 #29 May 13, 2003 >You mean a Honda? Yep.. my new Civic has more American parts then my old Ford Probe had. Actually.. over 95% of the parts on my Civic were even made in Ohio. DYEVOUT 0 #31 May 13, 2003 Quote Buy American. You mean a Honda? Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of a 2003 Cummins Ram 2500 stretchcab, longbox, 4x4 with a six speed stick [drool], but I noticed that wasn't on the list. ----------------=8^)---------------------- "I think that was the wrong tennis court." A friend of mine is currently building a Morris Minor coupe with a tunnel-rammed Chevy 400, and a narrowed rear. jessd 0 #41 May 13, 2003 I'd buy the Celica. I have one and I love it. I like the way that the 2003's look too (mine's a 2001). It is a great car. Not to mention that Toyota's in general are great cars. My previous car was the Tercel. I had over 100K miles and never had a single problem with it. SkyDekker 1,465 #44 May 13, 2003 Quote or a Citroen 2CV,they are way fun to drive in.. he he Actually they are fun to drive in. For those who don't know, 2 cv stands for deux chevaux, also known as 2 hp, yup a car with only 2 hp. The whole roof of the car was fabric that you could roll back. The suspension was so loose, you could almost get the car frame horizontal without any tires leaving the surface. Ohhh fond memories, well at least when the car started in the morning and we did not have to take public transportation.See the attachment
Faber 0 #45 May 13, 2003 The car also have this thing when it makes a turn its like its gonna lay on the side but i have never seen an 2CV that actualy went all the way to the side... some people gets seasick by driving in thouse carsbut i think they are way fun.. How ever if you would like a car you could make by gaffa or similar you´ll need a Skoda 120 or a Lada 1100 he he Stay safe Stefan Faber
