Who are you or what defines you?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I am Fu#*en philosopher but hey maybe somebody will humour me and answer here. If you think of it we are all many things. For instance I am a gun owner, pilot, skydiver, skier, etc. But the question here is how do you define yourself? IE. what matters most in your life? If you asked me 5 years ago I would have said without question I am a skier before anything. But the fact that I moved to Texas (a place where I can't ski) proves something had to change somewhere. Anyway I will name my top five.
1. Skydiver / sex addict (these two are tied at #1)
2. Overall speed frreak (motorcycles, cars, anything)
3. hardcore proud right-winger (by definition must be American or atleast want to be)
4.Drug-free bodybuilder
5.Deprived skier living in Texas
If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass.
Can't think of anything I need
No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound.
Nothing to eat, no books to read.

If you're a philosopher, then you should recognize this;

Quote

One

The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth.
The named is the mother of ten thousand things.
Ever desireless, one can see the mystery.
Ever desiring, one can see the manifestations.
These two spring from the same source but differ in name;
this appears as darkness.
Darkness within darkness.
The gate to all mystery.

I am Jake Conrad...an Army soldier during the week, and a parting skydiver on the weekends. The most important thing in my life is my family. Not only my blood but also my dropzone family. Without the people i see every weekend i would have lost my mid a long time ago.
