Okay - an update on the video.

I know it's late. I had to switch over to some projects for food. I finished two good ones, and I'm back to the Eloy project.

Many, many hours of work behind me, and less and less in front of me...

At least I can eat while I finish it up.

Not sure exactly how long 'til I polish the final cut. I am actually going back through some segments to focus on skydives. I have been given some insight that will have long-term impact. Skydivers want to see skydives. Forget the kewl-and-groovy effects. Those are neat to wuffos, but we want to see skydivers making skydives.

I'd like to get some feedback on the web version of Holly's Memorial segment.

The web version is very, very simple. It's basically a slide-show with all of the pictures I could put together of her (special thanks to Deuce for the CD). I tried a few combinations with the very small amount of video I have of her, but the photo/video combination just didn't work well.

I did get a response from her favorite techno artist, politely declining use of his music for her Memorium. The music in the clip is from an artist TechnoLoOp. More of his music is used throughout the video.

My vision of the clip includes captioning of something appropriate for Holly.

Kevin had suggested her short diary quote, and it is very nice, but rather short. If someone with good writing talent would like to put together a poem that fits with the video, I'll put it on another thread for feedback and send it by e-mail to her family for their approval.

A memorial tribute is new ground for me. New ground I hope we will not have to tread, again, for a long, long time.

Cajones, Holly is at the tail end of my DZ.Eloy video. I'm panning past Sunny after a DC- flybyand we're all whooping it up and there she is, just laughing along with all the rest of us. My wife and I were watching the video before I went down to Perris and I got all choked up and explained who it was and my wife got choked up too.

I was signing the banner at Perris, and saw her name right next to mine and it caught my breath again.

You're going to want the Mini DV tape, right? I'll see if I can burn you one, my computer is jumpy. If I get it out tomorrow, will it be any use to you?
