jfields 0 #1 May 30, 2003 Where I live, we have had 9 straight rainy weekends. It is beautiful outside right now, but the clouds and rain are expected to roll in tonight. The forcast for every DZ within about 4 hours of here is 80% cloudy, cloud height at 3000 feet, frequent rains and high wind. I am bitter and grumpy, so all you people from places like Eloy and Perris has better be nice and briefly refrain from talking about the sun. [/venting]
txblondie 0 #2 May 30, 2003 Looking for a solution? Move to Texas. Even when it rains, it's so hot and sunny here that the DZ has dried up and the clouds are gone in less than 24 hours! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun! jfields 0 #3 May 30, 2003 But then I actually have to live in Texas, right? It will take more than a couple months without jumping to make me that desperate.

txblondie 0 #6 May 30, 2003 Be careful...Texans are a very proud breed! And I don't live out in the country, either. I live in Plano, which is a suburb of Dallas, and everything I need (mall, supermarket, gas station, etc) is within 5 miles of my house. The DZ is a little drive, about 30 miles, but it's a nice drive, and it's definitely worth it. We have a pretty big DZ here... ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun! txblondie 0 #8 May 30, 2003 Well, then he just hasn't met the right Texans! Most of us are very nice, fun loving, and we love to meet new people. We're not the shitkickers people seem to think we are (well, not all of us, anyway)!!! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun! Sebazz1 2 #9 May 30, 2003 You have a place to stay should you need to take a trip out here to Nor Cal...Seriously!
jfields 0 #10 May 30, 2003 Quote Blondie: its not Texas that Justin has a problem with, with Texans.... Exactly! I don't have a problem with old logs, it is just critters that live inside. I can understand the woodland animals that stop at the log briefly, but the ones that actually make their homes in the damp, decaying pulpy mess have got to have something wrong with them. Perhaps they don't see the rest of the forest for the dead tree. This had something to do with Texas/Texans, but I can't figure out what it was right now. jfields 0 #11 May 30, 2003 Not Nor Cal, but.... June 27 - July 6. San Diego. 4-5 days at Perris. Your attendance will be mandatory.

jfields 0 #13 May 30, 2003 Quote Don't make me kick your ass on behalf of all Texans. Whatever. Bring it on. So Texas is bigger, has more cactus and more illegal border crossings? You think that makes you better? HUH? Well, you aren't. Get over it! I did say at the outset of the thread that the weather was making me bitter and grumpy. Jessica 0 #15 May 30, 2003 Quote So Texas is bigger, has more cactus and more illegal border crossings? You think that makes you better? No. Awesome people who'd do anything for even a stranger, beautiful weather, and endless skies make us better. The fact that I'm getting to cookout and swim in the amazingly clear and cold Guadalupe River (25 miles from my apartment) next week with friends makes us better. Incredible sunsets, better even than the ones I saw from the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast in Italy reflecting on the sea make us better. So HA-ha!!! Enjoy sitting in the rain this weekend. jfields 0 #16 May 30, 2003 Blah, blah, blah. Right. Next thing you are going to tell me is that your governors make good presidents or something equally farfetched. Quote So HA-ha!!! Enjoy sitting in the rain this weekend. Actually, I'll be at home with the 20 gallons of beer I've brewed, making another 10. I'll be too busy drinking beer and playing with my daughter to possibly think about all the numerous inferior states.
Sebazz1 2 #17 May 30, 2003 Quote Awesome people Um dude, like I met POP and well... eeee um yeah careful with the awesome Texas people refrence. Oh yeah and "awesome" belongs to California
txblondie 0 #18 May 30, 2003 Hey, we can do everything that Jessica talked about AND drink beer at the same time! So, we're still one up on you. And Jessica, AMEN sister! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
jfields 0 #19 May 30, 2003 I'd even take California over Texas. Considering the whackos that live there *cough*Sebazz*cough*, that is saying something. In talking about the weather, you are omitting the issue of the heat, perhaps because the neurons have all melted already.
txblondie 0 #20 May 30, 2003 Perhaps the neurons have fused together, but even with the heat, Texans are a much more friendly breed than many Yankees I've met. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Yankees; the guy I'm seeing is technically a Yankee. BUT I still think Texans, although not necessarily better than anyone else, are very cool and special in their own way! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun! txblondie 0 #22 May 30, 2003 Okay, so maybe I'm just trying not to offend anyone. The truth is, Texas is the best state in America, and Texans are better people than most. I was trying to be polite, but honestly, I love everything about being a Texan. I'd rather identify myself as a Texan than an American! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
