CanuckInUSA 0 #1 April 21, 2003 I thought I'd start up a "What I liked about Holly" thread. Much of what could be posted in this thread I'm sure has already been said, but for those of us who were lucky enough to have met Holly we knew she was a bundle of positive energy. So please feel free to add on. Anyway, What I liked the most about Holly was how she would treat a stranger as if they were a life long friend. I wasn't one of her closest friends, but I knew that I was one of her friends and my life has been blessed because of this. The girl's personality and energy were as bright as one of the stars in the sky. In fact I think she'll be shining down on all of us from now on. CrazyIvan 0 #3 April 21, 2003 The only contact with her was thru this board, but still, knowing that is someone you met, really hurts. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

wmw999 2,589 #5 April 21, 2003 She was generous and nonjudgemental. Generous with her happiness, her hugs, it was all infectious. Generous with herself. Jessica 0 #6 April 21, 2003 I liked her avatar. And though I hadn't met her, some of my favorite people thought she was great, so I liked that she made my friends happy. Skydiving is for cool people only
sunshine 2 #7 April 21, 2003 The talks we shared were always fun. I was so looking forward to visiting her in her new place. She was around for the toxic night in Eloy. She was the one that stayed with me in the bathroom while i was throwing up. She just sat there laughing at me, holding my hair, and rubbing my back. She did love to tease me about that. The dz.com dinner she gave me a little gift. She had seen something at the store, thought of me and bought it for me. She was just such a sweet girl. When i think about the things we did together, a smile comes to my face. She'll always be with me in my heart. I am blessed to have known her and had her as a freind. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!

CanuckInUSA 0 #11 April 21, 2003 Quote How you doing dude? With the exception of one lost friend this weekend, I'm doing good. I'm still practicing much of what you taught me about my landing procedures in Eloy and I look forward to the day I get to fly with the Shady Monkey again. riddler 0 #12 April 21, 2003 She lived up to her own ideals (raw foods, living life to the max, etc). Many of us are hypocritical in that we believe one thing, but practice another.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

KawiZX900 0 #15 May 31, 2003 Her laughter and her outlook... Her brilliance and ability to make you know the beauty of the day she was living a 1000 miles away. Talkin shit on the cell about all of you, her encouragement on my taking on full time school, full time work, and full time SSP. Trying to out "crazy" each others stories, reffering to our cell conversations as Crack. one hit and you're hooked.... She carried a room, completely caught some seriously cool surfboard shaper off guard with a hug. Plain to see how much her hug brightend his day. Hugs. Today was supposed to be welcome to San Diego day, I think moving boxes and drinking beer was all that was going to be on the itinerary. Had Hol's board out on the water today, nose riding it like what. Had a really interesting time getting out of the water. The tide was really high and when I walked along the cliffs edge to get out a big wave came in faster than I could get out. Smashed into me and me into the cliff wall. The board, (granted I tried to sacrifice my self before the board but this was still weird) I tried picking the board up above the wave and I got it out of the water high enough that I thought all was good, well. I watched the board sail up in front of me and over the rocks, as I was getting slammed into them. The board came back off the cliff on the receding wave, just high enough off the water that it did not get nailed. There is no good reason that her board is not in 2 distinct pieces. Not even a scratch. She's seeing every wave and everything else going on in the universe. I liked feeling connected with her, Hard to explain but when talking to her it was like really being plugged in, someone else explained it as Holly being a tuning fork, that is exactly how it was. Thats what I liked about her, more than once I wondered why this completely Rad chick would take so much time out of her day to be my friend. I'm grateful she did. I'd like to be as good a friend with someone in person as much as we did on the phone. I don't think I've had a three hour conversation about random shit with anyone since she's passed. Hell I never even talked to girl friends the way we talked. She had shine, she's got shine. Pure Joy. Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds.
