billvon 3,120 #1 May 29, 2003 Well, they finally found a big stash of biological weapons stocks, including 100 vials of anthrax - and that anthrax may be related to the anthrax attacks in the US a few years back. There were no records of any such vials in any released documents. That's the good news. The bad news is that it happened in Maryland. Story here. SpeedRacer 1 #5 May 29, 2003 Yep, right in my backyard. Fort Detrick is right down the street from my house. They used to experiment with biological weapons there, until President Nixon terminated the biological weapons program in the early '70s. MrHixxx 0 #9 May 30, 2003 How about all those civilian deaths. George is gonna have a little trouble explaining that one to that God he is always dangling on a stick. mccordia 74 #10 May 30, 2003 Quoteand they never had any terrorists in Iraq Like there have never been any US terrorists.. Heck..the guys that flew into the WTC where trained at a US operated (Dutch owned) flight-school.. Why not invade the US, because they trained terrorists...and nuke holland because they where also involved... ..no matter how much fuss is made about weapons...the one and only reason for this war was, is, and will always be OIL.. Fine by me...the US won...everybody happy (accept a dozen or so widows and family)..but don't lie about what started it all.. If safety realy was the biggest concern, the US would have invaded Korea...JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

jfields 0 #14 May 30, 2003 Please, Remster... Get them right. In order of importance, it is: Maryland, Canada then France. Don't mess with Maryland, or we will sent our fierce blue crabs to release bottles of anthrax in your neighborhood. We aren't conventional, but we're a state to be reckoned with! FallRate 0 #23 June 1, 2003 QuoteIf safety realy was the biggest concern, the US would have invaded Korea... I hate to bump such an infantile thread, but this opinion needs to be addressed. I have heard dozens of individuals voice the opinion over the last year that we should focus our military efforts on North Korea, or even China, as they are perceived to pose a greater threat to the United States than Iraq. Almost without exception this is a trailing comment made by those who argue that we didn't allow diplomacy to work, and that without a consensus or "broad support" on Iraq in the UN, any action would be preemptive and unjust. Well, as for North Korea, we are still in the process of diplomacy. And there is absolutely no support from the UN to take any military action in North Korea. Give it time. If diplomacy does fail and military action becomes necessary, the same simpletons who now argue that we should focus on North Korea can bitch that we didn't allow diplomacy to work and that we (most likely) don't have wide-ranging support in the UN for an attack.
