wmw999 2,583 #2 June 2, 2003 Quoteso far over 24 hrs no smokes That alone is cool! congratulations! There is some really good stuff in the Women's forum about exercise and what works and doesn't -- you might want to go take a look (but be very quiet or the guys will know you're hanging out with the girld ) Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
bmcd308 0 #3 June 2, 2003 I made it about four weeks in BFL. The results were dramatic. I question some of the photos simply because the muscle gain seems impossible, but my fat loss was astounding. In my four weeks, I probably only had about three total days where I did the program exactly right in terms of the eating (it is harder than you think to arrange your life such that you can eat all those meals), but I was honest with myself about the intensity levels when I worked out, and the results were great. I fell off the wagon for a couple of days, though, and never really got motivated again. So, to answer your questions directly: 1. No. I have not done the 12 week program. 2. No. The people who turned me onto it fell off the wagon when I did (but they had already been on it about three weeks, and their results were spectacular.) 3. No, not in all cases. Some of those people just put on too much muscle mass for me to believe it. 4. Yes, but it's hard. My warning goes something like this: At first, when you are excited, it's all mind over matter so you do it to show yourself you can do it. Then you are getting great results so that keeps you motivated. Then chicks in bars start wanting to go home with you, so you start hanging out in bars. This last phase occurs before 12 weeks is up, so you don't finish. BMcD... ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

sunnydee123 0 #6 June 2, 2003 Hi all.....I have done BFL and actually 2 years later am still following the premise of it. It is not easy but the plan is laid out for you so with dedication and motivation - it can be done. There are 2 parts to the process and you have to do both or it won't work. I bought the book, made a plan - 6 meals a day area MUST, bought the food & supplements and joined the gym. I was a size 16, 168 pounds and 34.7% bodyfat. Last 12 week program I submitted was this past December and I am now a size 6, 128lbs and 14.7% bodyfat. Granted this is over almost a 2 year period but it is the healthy way to lose - slow and gradual and it will stay off. My legs are rock solid and the program itself is GREAT. As you get further into it, you have to "tweak" it, and I changed my supplements but it works....Go into it with the right frame of mind and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Feel free to PM me anytime for support or questions. GO FOR IT! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
andy2 0 #7 June 2, 2003 start off running every day when you wake up in the morning. Once you've built up to 2-3 miles a day, then start lifting weights 3-4 times a week. Throw in a couple days of swimming on offdays and lots of pushups/pullups and you'll be in shape within 3-4 months. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
